"Every ounce of Singh’s lyrical prowess is insightful and endearing"
-Ben Thomas, RIFTrock.com
Born in India in 1984 and raised in the suburbs of Washington DC, Tejas Singh is singer/songwriter who currently lives and works in New York City.
Citing a wide array of influences such as Michael Jackson, Pedro the Lion, Ben Folds Five, Cake, Ray Lamontagne, and Paul Simon, his writing fits comfortably into to the pop rock category, with strong, memorable melodies and relevant lyrical content. His first official release came in May of 2007, shortly after moving to New York to pursue music full time.
The EP, A Brief History, is a six song record running just over twenty minutes that explores some of his more recent musical influences, with up tempo blue grass beats and a lyrical overtone that is socially and politically conscious.
With a deep and ecelctic repertoire of original songs, it is sure to be the first of many recordings from this young artist, who may yet prove to be one of the next members in the long line of great contemporary songwriters.
A Brief History is now available on
ITUNES
..
The EP is also available for download on DigStation
also available on Rhapsody, eMusic, and Napster.
