Music’s track has always run parallel to the Franco Cazzola’s existance one. During the 90’s when the young and rogue Tek ran around Turin with his mates, the main passions were two: Metal and Hard Techno music. With his guitar he used to imitate his idols: the Carcass, the Dying Fetus, Alice in Chains and Iron Maiden. At the end of the decade in a Turin troubled by anarchyst revolts, during the weekend nights the suburbs were invaded by nomad ravers’ tribes, that in three days use to mount and dismantle campments were the unique law was the speaker, invadent and straight. Franco Cazzola’s hearing, already used to noisy styles didn’t intimidate: the sparkle caused the fell in love between the young and techno music. In the eraly 2000s in a historical club in downtown Turin, one of the most active crew of those years, the Acid Drops, move from the industrial burns to clubbing, mixing techno with a sound of clear and intense Electro mark. During the historical The Plug nights leaded by the leggendary figure of the dj Simone Cordero, Tek use to partecipate actively as a P.R.. The devotion and love for music reached the point where he couldn’t remain there watching or better listening and dancing. Franco Cazzola started then to approach to music production’s art thanks to the huge Nasty Records studio, an immense space compoused by a recording studio, three project studios, a rehearsal room, set up with his business partner Marcelo Tag. In 2006 Franco Cazzola made his debute on a console, DoctorSax’s one, a club in which the most favourite breakfast of every city clubber is served; a streetcar in which every hidden desire can be satisfied. Thanx to Simone Cordero and The Plug’s crew, after years of Black Music, DoctorSax became an electronic music place, laying the bases of what is today one of the most sofisticated afterparty in Italy. Franco Cazzola’s lucks, often parallel to Marcelo Tag’s one raised in endless back to backs between Tek’s live and his friend’s vynils. In the last years Doctor Sax has seen passing through its aisles the best artists from the prosperous local scene, and big International guests. Franco Cazzola’s sound didn’t go unheeded and thanks to the contacts made on the Po’s banks, one with the highest Techno concentration in Europe, his live has played in some of the best known seat of european Techno House governament as Nouveau Casino and Batofar in Paris, the Moog in Barcelona, Valencia’s Mogambo, the Arena and the Zementgarten in Berlin. Besides Tek has played in important italian clubs such as Index in Bergamo and Leoncavallo in Milan. In the summer of 2009 Marcelo tag and Franco Cazzola give birth to Carnival Records, brand new and ambitious project of electronic avant guarde. Franco Cazzola signs the Carnival 001, the “In Mexico With You” EP, dreamlike journey with a 4/4 dizzy rhythm; the remixed made by Ahmet Sisman, has been put into “The sound of the tenth season” by Sven Vath, traditional double cd that celebrates the end of Cocoon at Amnesia Ibiza’s summer season. Il binario della musica ha sempre corso parallelamente a quello dell’esistenza di Franco Cazzola. Negli anni ’90 quando il giovane e terribile Tek scorazzava per le vie di Torino con la sua banda di amici, le passioni erano due: il metal e l’hard techno. Con la sua chitarra il giovane imitava i suoi idoli : i Carcass, i Dying Fetus, gli Alice In Chains e gli Iron Maiden. Alla fine del decennio in una Torino in agitazione per i risorgimenti anarchici, le notti dell’intero weekend le periferie erano invase da tribù di nomadi ravers, che in tre giorni montavano e smontavano accampamenti in cui l’unica legge era la cassa, dritta e invadente. L’orecchio di Franco Cazzola, già abituato a convivere con stili rumorosi non si fece intidimire, la scintilla tra il giovane e la Techno era scoccata. Nei primi anni duemila in uno storico locale del centro di Torino, una tra le crew più attive di quegli anni, i General Electrik, si trasferì dai capannoni al clubbing, miscelando la techno con un suono di chiara e intensa marca Electro.Durante le storiche nottate di The Plug capitanate dalla leggendaria figura del dj Simone Cordero, Tek partecipava attivamente come p.r.; la dedizione e l’amore per la musica elettronica raggiunsero il punto in cui non si poteva più restare a guardare o meglio a sentire e a ballare. Franco Cazzola si avvicinò così all’arte della produzione musicale grazie ai più sofisticati sintetizzatori e campionatori dello studio di registrazione tirato su insieme al suo socio Marcelo Tag. Lo studio Nasty Records, un’immensa cantina con recording studio, 3 project studios, 1 sala prove. Nel 2006 Tek debutta su una consolle, quella del Doctor Sax, la colazione preferita dai mattinieri del clubbing cittadino; un tram in cui da anni i desideri più reconditi del popolo della notte hanno sfogo. Grazie a Simone Cordero e alla crew di The Plug, dopo anni di Black Music, il Sax diventò nei primi anni duemila un locale di musica elettronica ponendo le basi di quello che è oggi uno dei più sofisticati after della penisola. Le fortune di Franco Cazzola, spesso parallele a quelle del suo socio Marcelo Tag, sono nate nella consolle del Sax in mattine di interminabili back to back tra il live di Tek e i vinili dell’amico. Negli ultimi anni il Doctor Sax ha visto transitare per i suoi corridoi i migliori artisti del florido tappeto elettronico torinese, insieme a grandi ospiti internazionali. Il suono di Franco Cazzola non è passato inascoltato e grazie ai contatti creati sulla riva del Po, uno dei fiumi d’Europa a più alta concentrazione Techno, il suo live ha suonato in sedi europee delle istituzioni techno house come il Nouveau Casinò e il Batòfar di Parigi, il Moog di Barcellona, il Mogambo a Valencia,l’Arena e lo Zementgarten di Berlino; e inoltre in importanti club italiani come l’Index di Bergamo e il Leoncavallo a Milano. Nell’estate del 2009 Marcelo Tag e Franco Cazzola fondano la Carnival Records, nuovo e ambizioso progetto di avanguardia elettronica. Franco Cazzola firma il Carnival 001, l’EP “In Mexico With You”, onirico viaggio con un ritmo vertiginoso in quattro quarti; il remix firmato da Ahmet Sismann, è stato inserito da Sven Vath nella compilation “Tha sound of tenth season”, tradizionale doppio cd che celebra la fine della stagione estiva del Cocoon all’Amnesia di Ibiza. Let the Carnival begin.

Nach einer schöpferischen Pause in den Sommermonaten konspirieren wir wieder musikalisch an einem der wärmsten, orginalsten, urbansten und freundlichsten Orte unseres beschaulichen Städtchens, dem ZMF am Rosenthaler Platz. Grund dieses Treffens ist kein geringerer, als die nunmehr sechste Release unseres kleinen aber feinen Labels zu feiern. Diese steht ganz im Zeichen eines Musikers aus Leidenschaft, CHARLES TONE ! Vielen von Euch bekannt von unzähligen, denkwürdigen Festen in und um Berlin. Anfang Dezember`09 wird seine 4-Track-Ep in nahezu allen Downloadshops dieser Erde zur Verfügung stehen.
