Imagine your record being one of the most anticipated albums for years even though it never actually came out. Imagine having an international fan base in this microwave mcnugget culture still without an album out. Imagine being voted best female vocalist on chat rooms and forums without even a properly promoted single out to date. Imagine The RZA of the almighty Wu-Tang Clan and one of Hip-hop's top producers behind your record. Imagine being Tekitha.
Tekitha is the female vocalist who appeared to take the role of Wu-Tang Clan in-house singer (previously filled by Blue Raspberry) for the album Wu-Tang Forever, on which she also performed a solo track titled "Second Coming". She also filled in for the unavailable Mary J. Blige in the video for Ghostface Killah's "All I Got Is You". Initially signed to RZA's Razor Sharp Records and then to Ghostface's Starks Enterprise, Tekitha continued to make guest appearances on Wu-Tang projects such as Raekwon's The Lex Diamonds Story and has also collaborated with the legendary KRS-One. While usually heard singing, her rapping can be heard on Cappadonna's "Pump Your Fist" and RZA's "Mantis".
Versatility and flexibility seems to be a one of Tekitha's traits. A random encounter with a stranger on a train lead her to meet and record with one of the then best kept secret in house music, Armand Van Helden, recording for such labels as Strictly Rhythm, Henry St., and Logic. Afterwards, becoming of one of the top names in dance music altogether. The result of Armand and Tekitha's union was the club anthem "Mother Earth" from "2 Future 4 U " album, which was a 1 hit in the UK sales and dance charts.
When asked to describe her music and style Tekitha say, “Of course it has hip hop over and undertones but overall it is music for the soul feels good to the soul it connects with the soul. Its’no bull**it, I’ll say that. It’s all real talk. It’s my life experiences, really, some emotional things, but my perspective of it, not just the actual situation, but my perspective of it, then a lot of social issues. So it’s either one of those. Either my direct experience with something or something that I’ve been observing socially that’s been happening to the youth or the elders or lack of respect for the ancestors. But it’s all kind of funneled around what I know. I can’t talk about what I don’t know. That’s pretty much the base-line of the album. It’s smooth but it’s raw, at the same time. I’m not out there trying to be a man, because I’m not a man, but I’m raw on that microphone though. That mic is my heart and soul, you know, aside from my daughter.”
Tekitha’s current project boasts production from The RZA, Stevie J, and Super Dave West. Whether she's slated for only background vocals or crafting her solo project, Tekitha has become an easily recognizable voice from the ranks of the extended Wu-Tang Family, charging to the future as the soulful, sultry Wisdom Body.

if there are any other or ALL (!) song u want me to help u promote up north, send them to me, but Ridin' has been my favourite soooo long, i think i will be content with that one for a while.
text me, email me... let me know ur gud. holla if u on facebook: hajile kalaike
by the way, not sure if i told u, but i was able to re-do my myspace 'top friends', so i have had RZA on my official Black Lotus Media one for a while and i re-did my artist page (this one) recently and have had YOU as my top 4, number 4 person at the top of my top friends. basically a permanent spot for u. always happy to support u. ur incredible, spiritual, conscious, revolutionary and loving, wise and intelligent... refined... i could go on. but the point is u are a supreme example of what an artist out there in this commercialized industry SHOULD be like. u never sold out despite WU FAME etc. u always stayed true. which is why i got love for u. (((hug)))
