Telesys was formed in a small 1 bedroom apartment in the South Side of Pittsburgh circa 1999. Armed with a cheap Akai sampler and a few mega bytes of video game samples Telesys took to the stage and wrecked ears for about a year. Switching over to a PC Laptop running Buzz, Telesys contintued to fuck shit up around Pittsburgh for a short time before relocating to Morgantown West (by who is fuck is your god and what does he have to do with me) Virginia in 2001, but before leaving he contributed a track to Manny Theiner's "Circuits of Steel" Compilation as well as an Unlike Records Comp.
MORGANTOWN
Telesys took many shapes and forms in the hills of WV, the first was an experimental film fest in which sound was yoked out of a PC running ORI's amazing Back2Basic's software. A few heads were like, "That's fucking brilliant son!", but the rest of the necks were unimpressed, too drunk or high, or too involved in their own drama to give a fuck about the mind blowing, life changing futuristic bombardment of sound being fucked up their ass that night. PC laptop trouble plauged Telesys for like a year before he said FUCK ALL Y'ALL NIGGAZ, and bought a PowerBook running Live and Reason. You can catch Telesys fucking shit up new school style monthly @ 123 Pleasant Street as part of the Gl1tch nights that niggaz like Dave Riggs, George Cicci, Paul Valette and a few other heads drop dope sound fuckery at. In 2005,
Telesys took some time off to develop new sounds and eventually began making music with his instrumental post-rock band Nakano. I'm not saying Telesys is broke up, he just got bored with the whole IDM / Electronica thing.
NEW YORK CITY
Telesys is making a comeback! Damn, it's been a while son! John is now living in New York City (going on 4 years) and goes by Johnny. After numerous stints in mediocre indie rock bands he has an itch for broken beats and drone, in fact Broken Beats and Drone is the title of the new Telesys Anthology which you can download for free --> http://telesys.bandcamp.com/
