The www.Boomkat.com review of "from anywhere to anyone" 2007 remix album:
"Simon Scott, former drummer in Slowdive, gives some of today's foremost electronica artists the chance to remix his music, with the likes of Ulrich Schnauss, Sebastien Roux, Isan, Library Tapes and a great many others all rising to the challenge. In addition to Televise, Scott has links to a host of other notable acts (Epic 45, Taylor Deupree, Ralph Steinbruchel, Isan, ON, Emanuele Errante and Seavault - even playing drums for Klimek), giving some indication of the sort of network of fellow musicians he has to call upon.
Schnauss is up first, bringing his distinctive brand of 21st century shoegaze to the beautiful 'Radiation Sound'. Next comes a fine digital re-jig of 'I Don't Know Why' by D_rradio, followed by a change of pace and approach by the always loveely Library Tapes. Scott's own 'Flood Out' is a blast of effects-soaked texture, heralding a shift towards more experimental tendencies, which come to a head during 12k/room40 artist Sebastien Roux's cerebral, micro-dissection of 'Secret Valentine'. A return to poppier song formats isn't far away though, thanks to the melodic electronic warmth of Isan, Praveen and Zegunder. A great set of remixes from top to bottom, each really embracing the spirit of Scott's work. Highly recommended!"
Svarte Greiner (Deaf Center/Miasmah/Type) explores deep into a dark,
mysterious and disturbing universe. Drawing inspiration from artists
such as Earth, Volcano the Bear, David Darling & Deathprod, the
music is draped in Lynchian mysticism and horror film cinematics. "The
music of Svarte Greiner is practically perfect. It's like that sound in
our heads we've been imagining for ages but had never actually heard."
- Type Records.
The Sight Below (Rafael Anton Irisarri/Miasmah/Immune) draws as much on
modern genre progenitors like Brian Eno, Robin Guthrie and My Bloody
Valentine as it does from the more historic traditions in
neo-classicism from Erik Satie and Olivier Messiaen. His album Glider
has appeared on Thom Yorke's radar in making the Radiohead's lynchpin's
top ten playlist.
His debut album Navigare soon to feature on the Miasmah label, Simon
Scott (former Slowdive) is set to be a household name in conceptual
music. Simon is the former Slowdive drummer, co-producer of Televise,
producer of Seavault, and owner of KESH Recordings label.
Our new album "Herbarium" is
out now on CdBaby (MP3 so far, physical CD is on its way).
Diverse palette of styles (post-rock,
ambient, electronica, trip-hop, with elements of noise, dub,
neoclassic and free improvisation), united by cinematic, slightly
pensive mood.
«Herbarium» is called so
because of heterogeneity of «songs», which can be
compared to miscellaneous leaves in the album, still being belonged
to the family of trees. Trying to avoid non-alive metaphors here,
only thought of diversity and warm and innermost feeling that
herbarium is capable to conjure up. «... This leaf I picked up
in the park where I met her, and this - I sat by the river,
contemplating...». So tracks were created – one was captured
in some magic jam, another – recorded layer by layer and
meticulously mixed then, next – cut from previous sessions and so
on.
All compositions are united by Poostosh
sense of music – mostly pensive, spatial, tender and experimental.
There's a lot of soul and charisma in every leaf... So please let
your soul look over our HERBARIUM.

We are here in Western Berlin. Unknown and from the underground- we didn..t need to convince ouselves all this time from the beginning 1992/93 till now. We liked playing our stuff even without business. And this is also a reason why we like slowdive A lot of good wishes Alex
