Tempered Steele began in Roanoke, Virginia in the mid-90s when brother guitarists Eric and Kevin Steele began jamming together with singer Jeff Gregory and drummer Dwayne Slough. Since then they have played countless shows including shows with national recording artists such as Drain STH and Blue Oyster Cult. They've won contests and received airplay on college, commercial and overseas radio. Making music for over 10 years, they've recorded over 40 songs on 4 releases. Their brand of groove-oriented rock is timeless - a mixture of hard rock and metal with a flexibility that gives them a unique sound. Time together combined with the experience of musical projects with musicians outside of the band has enhanced their ability to craft tight songs with great hooks that remain original and full of creative energy.
