Tempestuous Jones is a rock and roll band from Manila, Philippines. The bloodlines of this group runs thick with music. Their repertoire is the best of Classic and Adult Contemporary Rock. All the members of Tempestuous Jones hail from the roots of Pinoy and American rock and roll. When God created rock and roll, little did He realize four individuals would eventually cross paths to hammer out incredible music with each other!
Tempestuous Jones is Tebs Gomez on vocals, Cowboy Santos on guitar, Chad Rialp on bass, and Bennii Obana on drums. All four of them come from various musical background: Tebs's history includes a family of powerful theater and opera singers and has toyed around with a few bands back in college. Cowboy has played with The Blue Rats, Kwerdas, Cowboy and the Bandits, The Chanz, The House Rockers and of course, Sampaguita. Chad comes from bands such as Sound, Liquid Jane and Archipelago. Bennii has sessioned with pop artists and played for bands such as Overdrive. Tebs, Cowboy, and Bennii have all played (either together or as sessionists) at one point or another. What makes this unit click is their natural abilities to drive songs such as Heartbreaker, Nosi ba Lasi, and Son of a Preacher Man as if they were their own compositions (Technically speaking, Nosi is sort of Cowboy's because his mother is the original artist of that song!). They have their own songs which they add to their set list to keep the audience screaming and begging for more. Tempestuous Jones's uniqueness lies in their rapport as band mates and their obvious desire to enjoy the show just as much as their audience does.
As regulars of the band scene throughout the Philippines, Tempestuous Jones always delivers a punch that leaves their audience in complete shock. The power and sheer energy of this band makes them the most entertaining band this side of the Pacific Ocean. From start to finish, Tempestuous Jones has that take no prisoners attitude. The songs always sound aggressive and do justice to their origins. Never before has a band such as Tempestuous Jones taken rock and roll above and beyond its limits. Dude! Wish I could be there tonight. The bitter irony is that I will arrive MNL Monday night at 8:40. But I'll be there till the evening of the 26th. So maybe I can finally catch one of your gigs...even if I have to go way south from QC. LOL! BTW, Amor is coming in on the 19th for few days before going on to Oregon to be there for the birth of Valerie's baby boy. Maybe I can drag her to one of your gigs too before she splits to the Mainland
