About The Tempo Toppers

The Oslo band The Tempo Toppers are veterans on the Norwegian Rock'n'Roll and Rockabilly scene. All band members have a past within different Norwegian seventies and eighties groups before starting The Tempo Toppers in 1987. The Tempo Toppers gives you a varied selection of rare obscurities from bygone days, mixed with their own selv-penned songs respectely held within the tradition - but tastefully blended in their own distinct style. The music spans from Garage and Instrumentals to straight-forward Rock'n'Roll and Rockabilly - and even occationally touch on Beatles-like Beat-pop.

The Tempo Toppers split up in October 2007. Thank you for all the fun through 20 years!

Hank Sundown & The Roaring Cascades	Mar 21 2008 4:43 AM TROMMIS SØKES!! Hank Sundown & The Bopsters søker en hyggelig, seriøs og hardtslående trommis for spilleoppdrag hovedsaklig i Norge og Sverige, men også i resten av Europa. Hank Sundown & The Bopsters startet opp som The Cascadez i 2001 og har gitt ut en CD, "10 000 Miles To Memphis" på Rockaround Records. Vi har hatt pause i et par år, men håper å kunne starte opp igjen i løpet av våren. Stilmessig spiller vi det som gjerne kalles teddyboy rok & roll og våre musikalske forbilder er bl.a. Crazy Cavan & The Rhythm Rockers, Teencats, Shotgun o.l.Repertoiret vil bestå av en miks av egne låter og coverlåter (nye og gamle). Vi satser på rundt to spillejobber i måneden, kanskje noe mer på sommeren. Dette vil i hovedsak dreie seg om Norge og Sverige, men også noe ellers i Europa. Bl.a. planlegger vi en Finlands turné i august 2009. Vi har også som mål å spille inn en CD i løpet av 2008. Vi øver enten i Trysil eller Våler. Steder som under to timers reise unna er f.eks. Oslo, Elverum, Hamar, Lillehammer, Gjøvik og, Kongsvinger i Norge. I Sverige er steder som Torsby, Arvika, Eda, Sälen, Älvdalen, Malung og Sunne i rimelig nærhet.
