Ten Cent Howl is a roots rock band who just released their newest album entitled Dreamscape Americana on 1/1/08. They play mostly in and around the City of Buffalo -- an economically stagnent but alright place to live on the eastern shore of Lake Erie. Both the distinct sound of the band and the lyrics of Bill Smith reflect the gritty heart and soul of long-time living in the Rustbelt. Ten Cent Howl hopes that listeners of Dreamscape Americana will find the music interesting, motivating, and maybe even a little depressing at times. Overall, its all good.
Ten Cent Howl shows are typically an upbeat experience. Though they regularly play their own material, Ten Cent Howl will accommodate audiences with a variety of cover songs by artists such as Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley and many more.Ten Cent Howl is a three peice band made up of Bill Smith (composer, lead vocals, and guitar), Zak Smith (bass guitar), and Steve Puglisi (drums and percussion) -- whose combined talents add up to over 25 years of musical experience.
