In the Autumn of 2003 Danny Turnbull returned from a round the world trip to Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Australia where he spent much of the time busking and jamming with local rock bands. On returning to the UK and meeting up with old friend Chris Fenn, Danny decided that he wanted to dust off the old guitar and start jamming again. With Chris on drums, they started to patch out a rough idea of the music they were interested in…. the blues with a hint of anarchic rock! and Ten Days Unshaven was born.
Although with only drums and guitar the sound produced was loud, pretty roar, yet with a distinct feel for the early British blues era pioneered by the likes of Eric Clapton, John Mayal to name a few.
Today, the band is going stronger than ever with on Tom (Bass)beeing a relative newcomers, however, giving us the opportunity to be ever more creative and if I must add sounding better and better. Currently playing gigs around the South East, from Colchester to Luton to Stevenage to North London, the band is rocking better and louder than ever. “…it is amazing how the band has taken off it just goes to show that there is still a big market for good live music. For us it is about our music and simply having a good time. ”
