Tender Buttons are an offshoot of the band Kill Me Tomorrow, and have been kicking around since 2002, or so.
We have nothing to do with the band "Broadcast."
The name Tender Buttons was borrowed from a book of experimental prose/poetry written by Gertrude Stein almost 100 years ago (and people still haven't figured it out).
Some have speculated that she was referring to *nipples* with that particular phrase.
We wouldn't put it past her.
We've released eps on Deathbomb Arc, and Pacific Rock. Our debut full length, "Hot Abductions," will be released via Gold Standard Laboratories in early 2007.
The above songs are unmastered tracks from the forthcoming album.
The band is on hiatus. Currently Mr. Wentz is busy with his bands the Dabbers and Kill Me Tomorrow.

This Wednesday, September 5th, Low End Theory is proud to present another star-studded night, as we celebrate the release of Tender Button's Hot Abductions on Gold Standard Labs. And while Nobody and Gaslamp are in Europe for the next few weeks, we've brought in Thavius Beck and Kutmah as "temporary resident" DJs. Trust:
TENDER BUTTONS [Gold Standard Labs] Tender Buttons is the alter-ego of Zack and K8 Wentz of the San Diego band Kill Me Tomorrow. Intending to chart a more bombastic path than KMT's, Tender Buttons arrive at a sort of cabaret-esque electronic sound, in their own words a "fractured, neo-industrial, polyrhythmic" concoction, referencing classic song structures from the era of Tin Pan Alley, early jazz, vintage samba, and hits from the height of the mambo craze. The live show lands somewhere between performance art and a drunken house party, typically drawing audience members into the act. http://www.myspace.com/tenderbuttonsland
DISFLEX6 [Sunset Leagues] Jason the Argonaut and Lazerus Jackson form Disflex6, one of California's most consistent underground hip-hop duos. Their new album, Slow Burn is an example of intelligent, articulate music for the enlightened generation. We'd tr
