Oh, and I also like to travel. I've really only been in Europe and North America, but i've spent a fair amount of time in both. I went to Europe with an organization called Educational Services International, which is a great group for Christians who are interested in teaching overseas.
Who I'd like to meet: this guy:
..>
maybe he can teach me his dance:
..>
Oh, and I don't really like to meet people on the Internet. I guess that's weird for Myspace, but that's just how I roll.
Train rocks. I can meet you friday night. I work the next day from 645 to 245 (Ill have to have the gang meet later...lameo). Im going to have you stay with Chad. hes a good kid. Or maybe Abi. I live in a studio and I feel weird about sharing a room with a guy. But I promise you wont be homeless.
Oh Elliot...it took me a really long time to understand what the heck you were talking about...who is my bug friend? Then I remembered that I was holding a large bug from the bug museum in Victoria in my picture and then it all made sense! This bug's name is Nora and she just had babies a few days before this picture was taken...she looks good, huh?
I was going to take the hog down and save on gas, but if you're coming... I'd take the coug'... maybe a donation to help :)
were you planning on staying the night in seattle? I don't know what the status of their place will be, but I'm sure we could crash at Sarah Phillips if we asked...
We hung out once. Dude, Im in Seattle now. Good ol' Belltown. Annika decided to move right before I did. her husband is really cool too. So much for bestowing upon her my amazing networking powers. Hey, Im digging Mars Hill. We are reading Moltmann this week. Karl Barth next week. and Annie Dillard. Read Read Read is all I do lately. Come see my sweet flat!
budapest seems like the most beautiful place in the world. one of our gift shop workers is half-hungarian, half-serbian and he said budapest is awesome. we should talk about it sometime...most likely while dock-repping!
What's up Elliot? I just wanted to say hey and see how things were going up in Canada. I start my job back in the Ville on July 9th. Time to get in the real world I guess. Take it easy and I'll talk to you later.
I am reading Ayn Rand "We the Living" and I am starting to read up on the Pentateuch. Do you have any suggestions dealing with the Pentateuch or anything dealing with the history of the Bible? I am really looking for something that is not of the Baptist faith or even close to it.
looks like i didn't reply to your question, just stole your map. yes, i'm in good ol' grand rapids excited for festival of the arts this weekend. how's the skag?
As you well know, I am a big fan of superlatives and great encourager of their use in everyday conversation. So I thought I would find some good ones describing "Alaska, a vast empire of superlatives" Here are some nicknames for Alaskan cities:
Juneau: "The San Francisco of the North", Ketchikan: "The Salmon Capital of the World", Petersberg: "Little Norway", Skagway: "The roughest place of earth", Sitka: "The Paris of the Pacific", Kenai Peninsula: "Alaska's Playground", and finally, Alaska: "The Great Land"
It makes me want to hurt that guy who is singing the song first and who ever is standing near by second. I guess I better not travel to Hungry...it could be ugly.
hey from Colorado...so talk about small worlds...I know you from Hungary but you are really from Virginia, I think, and then you went to Regent in Canada and then you went to see my friend Trace Bundy who played at your school in Canada who was dating a uni-mate of yours. (whew) and now they are married and I will be moving into their backyard (which is basically a converted chicken coop) with Shalom, who I knew in Hungary. Whoahhhh, dude. It's a small world. Afterall.
Two things...
1. For some strange reason the other day I randomly had a memory of you throwing a peach at me and it splattering against the wall while I was "teaching". Not nice!
2. Do you remember the singer "Thicke"? I just now realized he is Alan Thicke's son...what the?
Hey Elliot, So I know I am a little late about the CPR class, but Andy and I are going to one on tuesday the 17th if you want to check it out. It is from 6-10pm. Just thought I would let you know. Either way-see you soon!
Happy belated birthday, evidently. What are you up to these days? We're still here in the Czech Republic (4 years later!) but gearing up to head back to the States this summer if everything goes well with Anna's adoption.
Heck yes I'd really like to meet Jake! So you're going back to Alaksa eh? LuCkY! As for me well I just moved to Denver and got a new job here in the past month so that has been a fun change of pace. Oh and I was just watching some "The Darkness" videos for a good laugh!
The last two weekends of April Im housesitting/dogsitting. I could probably do either Seattle or Portland for a day. You and/or Mary and/or Szent Miklos are more than welcome to stay with me for any amount of time. It's a thought.
our friend sevy lil said that all the classes are full. i don't know, do we believe him? i have to do mine too. the website is mtbakerredcross.org. we may be sol until later. why don't you get it in CA and then its good for three years?
