Midlands metallers Tenebrae formed in Loughborough in mid 1997 as a four piece thrash act following in the footsteps of Slayer, Metallica, Pantera and their ilk. The band comprised Leigh Hornsby (vocals/guitar), Pete Welsh (lead guitar), Tim Jordan (Bass) and Steve Ward (Drums).
Incorporating apects of thrash, death, grunge, goth and dance music into their new songs, they released the first sample with the 2002 self-titled debut e.p. which included their grotesque, theatrical classic 'Unsane' which is, to this day, a firm favourite amongst their fans.
Shortly after the e.p. was released, lead guitarist Pete Welsh left to pursue increasing family commitments leaving the remaining members to further develop and refine the music and expand their repertoire. By the end of 2002 Tenebrae were back on the road and gigging hard to increase their fan-base and prepare for their first full-length release.
Two more years playing across the U.K. supporting the likes of Desecration, Esoteric, Gutworm, Calm Insanity and Screamin' Daemon has won Tenebrae loyal supporters across the country and, at long last, the much anticipated debut album 'Humanism' is in production.
Tim Jordan sadly left Tenebrae in late 2006 due to personal commitments, but Tenebrae are currently rehearsing with new members prior to the release of the album in the near future.

New song, 'Organised Demise', is now up on my page. It's actually an old BU song but it fits in so well with my new material I re-recorded it for the new album as few people heard the original.
Check it out and leave a comment to let me know what you think!!
