Tengwar was founded in 2000, in Danville, Virginia, USA. Influenced strongly at first by Iron Maiden and old Metallica, Tengwar has grown musically over the years and has developed their own style of metal that fans of any sub-genre can enjoy, incorporating elements of prog, thrash, shred, and classic rock. The lyrics are either epic and story-telling or serious with deep meaning (with the newest songs containing more and more Biblical references and Christian themes), applied over heavy grooves, super fast riffs, clean sections, good musicianship, and good song writing - all intertwined for a highly pleasurable listening experience. Whatever you like, Tengwar has something that's right for you!

Chris is doing better, but is still in the hospital. His wife Angela is keeping everyone updated on the blog on his myspace. I am still working on getting the benefit organized, I will keep everyone in touch about this. I know some of the bands have already responded, but we are still needing more. Hey! hope you guys are doing good. there's a fairly new club down here you guys ought to check out. It's called The Raven, it's in Burlington and they tend to specialize in heavier music.
