I walk alone for the most part. Gary Bass (aka Basshole) relentlessly stops in to play acoustic lead because he LOVES to play. The evermore talented Gary Thomason - lead guitar, the most class of all musicians Dave Freyer on Bass and Mr. Expression himself Lance Allen on drums.
I was cleaning out a ton of music and found some "lost tapes"...recording from years past. I thought I would upload a few. Very mellow stuff but mellow is good sometimes. "In Your Eyes" words and music by Tennessee and Jenny Archer - a song we wrote for an independent film - the song was not chosen. They gave it to my buddy Mike Fuller (fabulous singer/songwriter) instead. "Comfort Her" - a song written for a very dear friend of mine (circa 1998-99) and "Here Lately" - a song written for my mother-in-law after losing her husband of 42 years in an industrial accident (circa 1994-95).
The voice of singer/songwriter Tennessee Tuckness is a study in contrast - tough and tender, sultry and cool. Her songs are equal parts folk rock and country, with a dash of the blues sprinkled in. Bittersweet emotion is the ingredient that blends Tennessee's unique sound together -- emotion as heartfelt and deep as that of her greatest musical influences, Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris and Ryan Adams. "I Am Not Forsaken", Tennessee's debut CD, was released in 1998. Tennessee's single, "We Fly", has been signed with Transition Music Corporation of Hollywood, California. She then delivered "Project Little Feat" (2001), includes a haunting rendition of Van Morrison's "Tupelo Honey" and Led Zeppelin's "Goin to California" -- the songs are a sweep from moody, romantic and emotional to upbeat, edgy and raw. Tennessee released her 3rd release as of April 18, 2008 entitled "November Road". Johnny Reverb and Marc Durham of Creative Audio have added much of their expertise and energy into the production.
