  • Bio

Tennille Amor is originally from Trinidad, but has lived all over the world, including Egypt, Singapore, England and Scotland. She has been living in New York for the past 7 years, but spends a lot of her time in California where she is currently recording the majority of her debut album with Jay Bowman (Michael Franti, Pink, Sting). Tennille’s endless pursuit of travel and understanding of different cultures fuels her desire to unite people of every race, class, and creed through love and music. In following her personal path she has found her true sound, exhibiting her versatile capabilities, which allow her to create music that is deeply addictive, commercially pleasing, and lyrically inspiring. Tennille has been blessed to work with many talented people over the years. Some of them include: Camus Celli (Gavin De Graw), David Simmons (drummer for Ky-mani, Damian, Stephen and Julian Marley), Steven Lashley (KC and the Sunshine Band), Kwame (onetime artist, and now producer whose credits include songs with Mary J. Blige, Nick Cannon, Christina Aguilera, and LL Cool J), Gary Haase (Celine Dion, NSync), Jerry Barnes (Chaka Kahn, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston), and Anthony Ruotolo (top recording engineer at Avatar Studios). Tennille music is a fusion of edgy commercial pop/rock, mixed with her soulful reggae roots. She is excited about the completion of her debut album (scheduled for release early next year), and looks forward to the next few months of recording and promoting the album with her upcoming shows! Tennille also co-founded the charity E.P.I.C. (Everyday People Initiating Change) with her business partner and friend, Alexi Panos. Through E.P.I.C., the girls have teamed up with the new Quiksilver women's line, and are currently drilling clean water wells in Tanzania, Africa. For more information on E.P.I.C., please visit www.epicthemovement.org, or www.myspace.com/whatdidyoudotoday.
