| About tensecondsofchaos |
'....as i pressed the fire control...ahead of me rockets blazed through the sky.'
Ten Seconds Of Chaos have been busy hand-sculpting their sound from an already established prototype in the confines of a secret location in Leeds. Their genre-defying brand of highly energetic, melodic rawk has been constantly evolving over time; creating a breed of powerful choruses, foot-stomping rhythms, passionate vocals, thunderous drums & driving bass-lines, which all combine with reflective interludes.
A great number of influences have been thrown into the sonic mixer, bands with passion, melody & energy have all played their part, & there is something different about this outcome; 'this band manage to make something regularly done sound unique & interesting.' The results of this can be best appreciated live in the high-octane, adrenaline-fuelled shows, or by standing in front of your speakers, turning it up, & letting it hit you like a wall of sound.
The last EP,'On Second Thoughts', was entirely self-recorded and mixed by the band. With differing studio recording outcomes in the past, the band feels this is way the way forward for the time being, in producing the live, raw feel they strive for. The EP was well received by numerous reviewers & DJs, including Steve Lamacq who played the track 'Face The problem' on his Radio 1 show. With many new songs waiting to be unleashed, a new recording is imminent.
With past efforts earning TSOC a place at the Carling Weekend Leeds Festival, the single-minded determination towards a common goal, the openness to fresh ideas, the genuine excitement & enthusiasm, and the ever-present creativity will hopefully see the band reach their potential and let their genuine voice be heard on a much larger scale.
