TENTH PLANET are:Tenth Planet formed in 2000, and in 2001 released a self-titled EP, produced in conjunction with Robert Strauss. In 2003 their second EP, “Retro Has No Future”, was released. By 2005, Tenth Planet had teamed up with Jeff Martin (former Tea Party front-man) to produce their third EP, the critically acclaimed and award winning “The Prophet Curse”. In a recent interview, Jeff commented on the band by saying, "They're really cool, they sound like a mix between The Tea Party and U2."
The band have been on two successful European tours (in late 2006 & 2007), the first being made a success due to overwhelming demand of online CD and digital download sales, even though they had no record deal or label support in Europe!
Tenth Planet continued working with Jeff Martin, co-writing the song “Line in the Sand” and producing their first full-length album "Everything Is Never Over", AVAIABLE NOW at www.cdbaby.com/cd/tenthplanet2

The music of Tenth Planet is best described as melodic alternative rock. All vain attempts at pigeon-holing aside, this Toronto-based band's individual influences are vastly diverse and combine in way that must be heard to be fathomed. With songs of universal impact, written and performed with epic scope and otherwordly skill, Tenth Planet has pan-Atlantic critics climbing over each other in their rush toward rare consensus:
-"Deliver(s) everything and anything... Hauntingly melodramatic... One of those rare breeds in the industry that have the ability to take you on a musical and emotional journey..."
...Shari Andrew
Canada Social Magazine
-"Dark and intelligent... U2's thoughtful arena rock (with) a metallic crunch... The band is highly skilled at setting moods and then thrashing expectations... Finely crafted alternative rock, much better than what is often on FM radio..."
...Adam Harrington
Whisperin' and Hollerin', UK
-"It's clear that there are minds as well as hearts at work here. It's clever, shadowy rock, alternative certainly but with enough melody to keep the mainstream within arm's reach... lucid and lively... close to colossal."
...Steve Beebee
Kerrang! Magazine, UK
-"Tenth Planet revolves around the same black hole sun that Alice in Chains did but with the anthemic punch of U2 at their most rocking."
...Karla Ash
Alternative Rock Review, UK
