Writing, video games, horror, reading, vampires, werewolves, Dune, Star Wars saga, well read human beings in general ("I dont like to read" is a friend killer), homebodies, creative people (never have to explain yourself to creative people), people with interesting dreams, people with confidence (not arrogance), dolphins with lazorz, Egyptology, egyptian mythology, mythology, moviegoing (too long without a theater seat and I feel weird), philosophy, the Matrix films, sports bra type tops on the right girl (my kingdom for a dreamy midriff!),criminally low cut tops on similar quality gals, smart people, storytelling, Gary Numan (albums PURE, EXILE and JAGGED - easily my favorite musician, samples on this page), being a good uncle, zombies, zombie movies, ZOMBIES!!! board game (really is a blast and a half), daydreaming, walking, not dying 10,000 times on ninja gaiden black, bowling, pool, reading, writing, writing, horror movies, horror novels, art, writing in the dark, the occasional trenchcoat during winter, good humor, lazorz, women as friends and equals, anti-hill dwelling cannibal mutant countermeasures currently being considered by the semi-ineffective government whose abuses against nature spawned them, hot chocolate in winter.
Music
A bit of everything. Not rap, not country. My favorites are Gary Numan (the albums PURE, EXILE and JAGGED specifically) and I'm learning to love the Scissor Sisters to death (thank you Erynn and MB for helping me along my path to Scissorhood!)
Movies
Moulin Rouge (practically the story of my life), the Matrix, the Matrix Reloaded, the Matrix Revolutions, Dawn of the Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Day of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead 2.0, Dune (all versions), Shaun of the Dead, Interview with the Vampire, Land of the Dead, almost all horror films, Chicago, Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Constantine, The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, Indianna Jones, Batman Begins, a Beautiful Mind, the works of Erynn Dalton, tons of other stuff. Just ask.
Television
South Park, Doctor Who (I am the biggest Doctor Who fan there is, I tell you), and Heroes - Hiro rocks! :) - not much else right now; I'm not big on T.V.
Books
The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron, Dune chronicles by Frank Herbert, The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice, most of Shakespeare's stuff (in book form yo), early to middle Stephen King, Lord of the Rings, Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z by Max Brooks,Ishmael by Daniel Quinn (deep stuff to say the least), Animal Farm by George Orwell (We're already there...)
Here is a trailer for a miniseries based on my favorite book, Frank Herbert's "DUNE." This miniseries aired on scifi in 2000. Aside from the occasionally goofy costumes it was actually pretty solid:
Heroes
Batman, Indianna Jones, Doctor Who (all ten, eleventh Doctor pending), Neo, the Vampire Lestat (ignore the Queen of the Damned film unless you like a mediocre 90 minute music video), probably not you.

Hello. I'm Chris. I'm also a self-published writer with a book called "SUNFALL: THE BROKEN CIRCLE" under the pen name Aidan C. Bell, which is begging to be on your shelf. Won't you give an orphan novel a new home?

.........
And now, my friends list policy: I didn't play the hollow popularity bullshit game in my youth and I don't play it now. If your only goal in friending me is to kick your friend counter up another point, keep on trucking. I don't need five thousand "friends" who exist as nothing more than pictures and disembodied words on the 'net. Everyone here has a purpose or substance that's been proven to me, or I know them outside of here. Let me know where or when I know you from when you send a request and we're good. But if you're a complete stranger, you'll have to try a lot harder to get me to notice you. Sorry, that's just how it is. No apology forthcoming. I just won't have a bunch of fakes running around my 'space.

IS THIS FILM AT THE THEATERS NOW??? THis is one of my favorites of all time....the portrait is in Chicago, and when I went to see it they told me that it was in the basement. A likely story, eh?!
Well said, young Turco. And don't apologize to Twilight....I mean, a good story, but they don't compare. I have to go to a meeting, I'll catch you later and we'll continue...
Have we discussed before how Shakespeare, Plato, and Aristotle would respond to HP? I seem to remember us bringing this up before. I'll add a new one to this list....St. Augustine. Go.
As much as I enjoy seeing a book translated into film, I also fear the outcome, especially of a book I hold so dear. I'm sure many people feel the same way. QoftheD is my favorite of the books, though I haven't re-read it for a long time. I could never even imagine the translation of that book into film being even near perfect, because that book, for me, is untouchable. There are so many threads and layers that are beyond what any 2 hour movie could depict. Ok, next subject. Let's discuss the complex character of Severus Snape. I want to teach a course on this guy.
I enjoyed the music...thank you...but I thought you held little regard for S. Townsend in that role...I thought he captured more of the spirit of Lestat than T.C., and, come on, he is staggeringly handsome...and not bad at all in the acting department...I did LOVE him as Dorian Gray in League...I'm so in love with the story/idea of Dorian Gray that I loved seeing even a glimpse of that character on film.
Hi brother how are you doing. Amanda got her drivers license yesterday. I am off to hike Mt Whitney on Tuesday so say a pray for me. and Steve and I are going to Colorado over labor day weekend. Nick is good he is home from camp and is now 5' 1'' tall he starts school on the 8th. Please come out and visit us. one of you favorite sisters :)
HELLO LOVE!!! THank you for sending me the Wolfman trailer...looks wonderful, and I love Benecio Del Toro...did you happen to read the article about vampires/werewolves, where it is mentioned that there is talk of Robert Downey Jr. reprising the role of a certain beloved vampire of ours??? LESTAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, i am three classes away from an AS Degree in Audio Production, not to mention my induction into the International Thespian Society in 1999 or the Theatrical award nominations I have had. you just that kind of stuff.
Holy Kerensky, Sab, that's AWESOME! I'm finding that words can't express how happy I feel for you.
...
I'm just as floored about the whole thing as you are. I know you said you won't be talking more about it, but can you keep me posted about it after the fact? I definitely will keep an eye out for you in whatever movie you appear in.
Also, I'm not doing terribly much this summer - so if you get the chance to do some writing, I'd be more than happy to work with you on your Aidan C. Bell stuff.
And I do believe you can. I'd need to do some digging about it, though. But I'm pretty sure you can download the games you have bought from Blizzard before.
