Tenzing is originally from Tibet...a country known around the world for its mystical arts, great mountains and peaceloving people. After the illegal occupation of Tibet by China his parents escaped to Nepal where he was born. After completing his high school in India, he came to the United States in 1999 to study and pursue a career in music. He graduated with a degree in Music Industry Studies from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2002. After college, together with a friend he formed a funk/jazz band called Freak Street Project and managed/played the bass with the group for five years gigging at bars and clubs, touring and recording, but deep in his heart he always wanted to use his talent to help the struggle of his people in Tibet. Tenzing recently left the group to work on his solo career in Tibetan music. His much anticipated debut Tibetan Album titled Rise Resist Return was released in Jan 2008. The lyrics are mostly political or protest songs related to the Tibetan Freedom Struggle. "I recorded this album hoping to raise awareness about the issue of Tibet. I use words as my weapon and music as my tool...", says Tenzing. The album has been described as, "the emergence of neo-Tibetan music," by popular Tibetan website Phayul.com. He now lives in Minneapolis Minnesota where together with his cousin, have formed a Tibetan rock band called MELONG. Besides being a recording artist and an activist for social justice and human rights across the world, Tenzing loves to play soccer, travel, hang out with friends, and cook.

Nice...the new look depicts such purity and freedom in its simplest form and even draws out ancient traditions from within yet the soft blue fleece? with red zipper reminds us that we are still fighting for such in the present...

"The Optimist Creed," is quoted from Science of Mind 71 (June 1998): Promise Yourself To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. To make all your friends feel that there is something worthwhile in them. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every living creature you meet. To give so much time to improving yourself that you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble. To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud word, but in great deeds. To live in the faith that the whole world is on your side, so long as you are true to the best that is in you.
OMG can I get your autograph? You are like the coolest Tibetan guitar player I have ever seen in my entire life. Lil joke lol..Well then cho cho great job at the concert. Hope you guys have a great success in the future..take care BHOE RANGZEN!
been watching the news in awe. this all makes me more skeptical, are there no peace forces because there is no oil? there are people in danger, not being allowed to speak out their feelings, there is a nation being taken over, a rich culture, a rich history, a people taken prison. and I would wish i could say something positive about it. but as long as no action is being taken there is not much good to say about the whole situation. and i just wanted to tell you that here is just another heart that's going out to Tibet.
