It wasn't long ago that Teresa Hicks Banda's prolific poetic writings were tucked away in a closet, without any hope of them being seen. But with the encouragement of some key people in her life, Teresa began sharing her work and her Christian poetry and lyrics were met with support and enthusiasm that she never dreamed possible.
The doors of opportunity are opening wide for Teresa these days. She is readying a book of poetry for future release. Teresa is also pursuing her dream of music ministry, and is already realizing success. In 2006, two of her songs, "If It's Love" and "Hold Me" were set to music and performed by the duo Bomar and Ritter for a worldwide listening audience of the Smoky Mountain Cowboy Church broadcast in Pigeon Forge, TN. Teresa is also in demand as a vocalist by churches and coffeehouses.
Teresa has a pure, sincere heart for God and hopes that her writing will help others know Him better. More of Teresa's work can be found on her website at
