Also: photography, recovery (because it is the toughest, toughest, toughest thing I've ever attempted),self-discovery, sunsets and sunrises, live music in smoky rooms, my macbook, my small but impressive library, febreze, vanilla candles, driving with windows down, the smell of garlic and onions sauteeing in a pan, cheese is good, raspberry iced tea, cherry pepsi when i'm feeling defiant, Starbucks coffee when I'm feeling downright and fucken self-destructive, warm beds, my Charlie, journals, bookstores, hiking at the Grand Canyon, desert energy, French accents, pier 1, seeing someone I love smile, tall boys, short dogs, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Flagstaff, Sedona, big cities for the culture, and little towns for the hospitality. Life is goooood.

About me: I like to take walks around the neighborhood. say what's up to the cacti and see how the clouds are doing. i like my veggies. i even like them raw. i love music because it livens up the day and because everyone sounds great when they sing songs that they love. I'm an artist, a writer, a photographer, a yogi (sort of), a Believer (in what? Love, mostly...), I trust what my heart says, I live for the so-called little moments but understand just how big they can feel when we let them. You'll be stunned next time you're out here, Hotel Cafe underwent a vast and much needed expansion...of the bathrooms. Now the cans match the overall ambience of the rest of the place.

eh, i don't know enough... but then neither did she, it was a process of exploring. i'm not really a writer though. never really enjoyed doing it. eloquently at least.
someone already did, it's called "from the ground up" by amy stewart. she is a santa cruz local who wrote a book about her garden in her rental house over in the Seabright neighborhood, all her wisdom, etc. so she beat me to it :) awesome book though. you should read it :)
