I am a Vocal Coach,Talent Promoter and have just begun a new venture in Artist Management and have started a Production Company with a Producer friend in Nashville....! I am always on the look out for good new talent! I teach Voice, Piano and Guitar and my students range in age from 4 to 76! I love teaching and working with people....!
I have had great success with my students....I have two with Major Country Labels, one in Pop on Virgin Records, one on Broadway, one in Southern Gospel who travels with Bill Gaither and who just released his first solo instrumental CD, and another who won the American Junior Idol, who is currently pursuing an acting career in LA....And she just landed a co-staring role in the new upcoming "Bionic Woman" series on NBC....! In the past, I have had several others who ended up with record deals in Nashville and LA, on Broadway, and at the Metropolitan Opera....I am obviously very proud! I also have several others who, at the moment, are in Development with other Major Record Labels....
I am a professional back-up vocalist for the stars of the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's, and I travel/perform with artists such as Andy Kim (Rock Me Gently, Sugar Sugar, Be My Baby), Mitch Ryder (Devil With The Blue Dress On, Sock It To Me Baby, Jenny Take A Ride), Sonny Geraci (Precious and Few, Time Won't Let Me, Respectable), Billy Joe Royal (Down in the Boondocks, I Knew You When, Cherry Hill Park), Ron Dante (The Archies' creator, and Producer for Barry Manilow and Barbra Streisand), Al Wilson (Show and Tell, The Snake), Merrilee Rush (Angel of the Morning, Party Lights), and many others, too many to name....! I love to travel and look forward to going to places that I have never been....
I entertained for years, as a supper club/piano bar entertainer in Georgia, Alabama, California and Tennessee....I had my own band for several years also, although I much prefer doing "my own thing"....Just me and my piano, or guitar, is what I love most....!
I am also a free-lance Photographer in my "spare" time, and love to create publicity pictures for solo Artists and Bands, as well as photograph Nature and children....
I am a song-writer, although I have had little time to be very creative in that area lately....I hope to meet other musicians/singers/song-writers/artists/performers who share the same passion for the arts that I so love....!
I, also, am an artist who loves to sketch and paint....I like Impressionism, but am a Realist at heart....I love to do portraits as well as landscapes and still-life....
I am 1/4 Cherokee Indian and am very proud of my Native-American heritage....! This explains my love of nature.....and animals....!
I grew up on an island off the coast of Georgia, Isle of Hope, and absolutely LOVE the beach and the water....But I SO love the mountains, as well, where I was born, near the Cherokee National Forest. I love meeting new and interesting people from all walks of life....I LOVE LIFE!
