I love cooking, gardening, home improvement, kids, computers, books, movies, ZUNE. And I will confess my little secret...I love the Harry Potter series. My biggest passion, though, is travelling.
Music
I like all kinds of music, except some hard-core rap, some death metal, and very twangy country music. I've never been much for the extreme fringes of music. But if it's got a good beat and the lyrics have some thought behind them, I generally like it.
Movies
Lord of the Rings, Fried Green Tomatoes, Amadeus, musicals, animated movies...but my favorite movie of all time: Shawshank Redemption.
Television
I watch Law & Order in all of its incarnations: SVU, CI, and the original. I also like The Closer, and The Gilmore Girls.
The shows I never miss: the new Justice League and Teen Titans. I've gotten sucked into The Avatar, too.
Books
Series: Harry Potter, Earth's Children, Gear's People, Kushiel's
I like Tami Hoag, Ann Siddons, and a handful of others. I tend to just walk the stacks at the library and pull ten books at random. My newest favorite book is The Last Cato. It is a must read.
Heroes
My parents, Batman, and my husband...not necessarily in that order.

About me: I work hard, I play every once in a while, I am guilty of singing loudly in the car, and teaching my kids to do the same!
Yes, kids! I've got two of them! My son, Timothy, is nine. My daughter, Teagan, is five. My husband, Tony, is an electrician now, after 7 years in the Army. We've been married for TEN years now, and together for nearly twelve.
I made a huge career shift, from soldier, to computer geek, to food. But I love it, and I wouldn't have traded any of it for anything.
I've been known by many monikers...so take your pick: Tee, Twink, Tink, Reece, Reecers, Marie, Maria, and Gary just to name a few.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to meet people who also have a family, but not absolutely necessary. I have a kind of 50's mental picture of getting to know people so well that they come over for barbecues on the 4th of July, and introducing them as "old family friends." I was an Army brat, and I never knew anyone longer than a year or two before we (or they) moved away.
I like genuine people. People who have lived a bit and don't need to put on a different persona when they meet new people, or who try too hard to impress.
