That's TERESE GENECCO - currently starring in The Longest Running Nightclub Act On Broadway at The Iridium in NYC where she has been appearing on the Last Tuesday of Every Month since March of 2009. Genecco spent all of 2008 blowing the roof off the joint at San Francisco's hottest nightclub, THE RRAZZ ROOM IN THE HOTEL NIKKO, where she appeared for a series of Saturday nights at 10:30 PM from February 2008 through March 2009. Terese is regularly joined on stage by her 8-piece jazz group called *the little big band* and she regularly features special guest stars including Grammy Winning Trumpet Player LEW SOLOFF, Emmy Award Winning Actress /Comedian JUDY GOLD, Broadway Star KAREN MASON, Platinum-Selling Composer/Performer MARK WINKLER, Grammy Nominated Latin Percussionist MAYRA CASALES, and Actress/Comedian/Jazz Diva LEA DeLARIA, and now Broadway Star NICOLAS KING! Genecco's *little big band* also sometimes includes JACK "Mr. Bongo" COSTANZO, (Frances Faye's featured percussionist on her 1958 Live LP, "Caught In The Act!") on Latin percussion. Costanzo also played with major celebrities of the last half of the 20th Century including JUDY GARLAND, FRANK SINATRA, ELVIS PRESLEY, NAT "KING" COLE, DINAH SHORE, SAMMY DAVIS, JR., and many more. He also appeared in several feature films in the 1950's and 60's and played on countless studio recording sessions. Genecco's shows are high-energy, full-impact, rollicking romps through the songs recorded and performed by Faye during her 6-decade-long career, with hits from the Rat Pack, Judy Garland, and even Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, and Elvis Presley thrown in for good measure. Here's what award-winning Sinatra biographer Will Friedwald says about Genecco's shows: "There were no 'mice' in the Ratpack - it was strictly an all-boy's club. But if Frank, Dean and Sammy ever returned from the Great Casino in the Sky, the first youngish female singer that I'd recommend to join their clan is this high-voltage entertainer. Ms. Genecco is deeply rooted in the early 1960s, the colorful last gasp of the era of swingin' lovers, and, as such, draws equally from Louis Prima and Sammy Davis on one hand and Ray Charles and Elvis on the other. On the last Tuesday of each month, she and her three horns and five rhythm put on an unstoppable juggernaut of a set at the Iridium, with one hard-hitting swinger after another, pausing only for what she describes as a mandatory 'two-ballad maximum.' The calendar may say Dec. 28, but Ms. Genecco makes every show seem like New Year's Eve." "Terese Genecco swings SF like it's Las Vegas!...a rollicking retro show...Genecco's sheer personality lights up the stage as much as her vocals...Judy Garland and Dean Martin's love child!" ~San Francisco Examiner "Somewhere in the two-drink-minimum section of heaven, Louis Prima is smiling because Terese Genecco & her Little Big Band are carrying on the tradition of high-energy musical excitement that Prima and his gang for years created to electrify the wee hours in Nevada lounges...a welcome addition to the downtown music scene... Sizzling bongos and brass...a Charmer...Surprising and unexpected...Astonishingly good!" ~The Contra Costa Times "Terese Genecco Brings the Best of Vegas To San Francisco: The show starts at 10:30PM, but you won't notice the hour as you listen to Terese Genecco sing with enough raw power to launch a N.A.S.A. space shuttle. She and her stellar band are sure to take you on a racy, raucous ride of hard driving music, engaging humor and all-out fun!" ~Nitelife Exchange, NYC "Frisky Retro Fun!" ~Time Out New York The videos below will give you a taste of Genecco's performances, starting with an ovation-earning nod to the traditional folk song, "Frankie & Johnny," arranged by Tony Malfatti, based on the original orchestration by Russ Garcia. Are you one of Romney's 47% Terese?

"JACKSON'S LOVE - FOR THE LOVE OF A CHILD" - MY BRAND NEW CD - HAS JUST BEEN RECORDED - WATCH FOR IT SOON @ www.RichardHarrisLive.com

    TODAY'S THOUGHT IS ABOUT MITT ROMNEY'S 47% ...

"There are 47% of the people (over 141,000,000 people) who

will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47%

who are with him, who are dependent upon GOVERNMENT,

who believe that they are VICTIMS, who believe the

government has a responsibility to CARE FOR THEM, who

believe that they are ENTITLED to HEALTH CARE, to FOOD, to

HOUSING, to YOU-NAME-IT. That that’s an entitlement. And the

government should give it to them. And they will vote for this

president no matter what…These are people who pay no income

tax…MY JOB IS NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THOSE PEOPLE. I’ll

never convince them they should take PERSONAL

RESPONSIBILITY and care for their lives."

    ~ Mitt Romney

HE DOESN'T OFTEN INSULT HALF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC, BUT WHEN HE DOES, HE CHARGES $50,000.00 A PLATE TO HEAR HIM.

TODAY'S THOUGHT IS ABOUT THE OLYMPIC GAMES ...

“Never underestimate the POWER OF DREAMS and the influence of the HUMAN SPIRIT. We are all the same in this notion: The POTENTIAL FOR GREATNESS lives within each of us.”

~ Wilma Rudolph - Olympic Champion

Wilma Rudolph was born prematurely at 4.5 lbs., the 20th of 22 siblings;  Rudolph contracted infantile paralysis (caused by the polio virus) at age 4.  She recovered, but wore a brace on her left leg and foot (which had become twisted as a result) until she was 9.

Wilma Rudolph was considered the FASTEST WOMAN IN THE WORLD in the 1960s and competed in two Olympic Games, in 1956 and in 1960.

In the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome Rudolph became the first American woman to win 3 GOLD MEDALS in track and field during a single Olympic Games.

Don't be afraid to TAKE RISKS Terese!

I AM RECORDING A NEW ALBUM THIS SUMMER - WATCH FOR IT @ www.RichardHarrisLive.com

TODAY'S THOUGHT IS ABOUT RISK TAKING ...

    “The person who RISKS NOTHING,

    DOES NOTHING,

    HAS NOTHING,

     IS NOTHING,

    and BECOMES NOTHING.

He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply

cannot LEARN and FEEL and CHANGE

and GROW and LOVE and LIVE.”

    It's  HOT out there Terese!

I AM RECORDING A NEW CD THIS SUMMER - WATCH FOR IT @ www.RichardHarrisLive.com

TODAY'S THOUGHT IS ABOUT THE SUMMER HEAT ...

You KNOW its HOT when ~

    >  The birds have to use POTHOLDERS to pull worms out of the ground.

    >  The cows are giving EVAPORATED MILK.

    >  The trees are WHISTLING for the dogs.

    >  You discover that in July, it takes only 2 fingers to drive your car.

    >  Hot water now comes out of BOTH TAPS.

    >  You realize that ASPHALT has a LIQUID STATE.

IT WAS SO HOT THE OTHER DAY THAT I TURNED ON

THE LAWN SPRINKLER AND ALL I GOT WAS STEAM!

    STAY COOL Terese!

It's Time to Give the Man SOME RESPECT Terese!

I AM RECORDING A NEW CD THIS SUMMER - WATCH FOR IT @ www.RichardHarrisLive.com

TODAY'S THOUGHT IS ABOUT RODNEY DANGERFIELD ...

"I get no respect. The way my luck is running, if I was a politician I would be honest."

"I have good looking kids. Thank goodness my wife cheats on me."

"I looked up my family tree and found out I was the sap."

"I told my wife the truth. I told her I was seeing a psychiatrist. Then she told me the truth: that she was seeing a psychiatrist, two plumbers, and a bartender."

"My wife wants sex in the back of the car and she wants me to drive."

"What a kid I got, I told him about the birds and the bees and he told me about the butcher and my wife."

"This morning when I put on my underwear I could hear the fruit-of-the-loom guys laughing at me."

Terese ~ Make It a GREAT DAY my friend!

TODAY'S THOUGHT IS ABOUT THE SPIRIT OF LOVE  ...

"You will find as you look back upon your LIFE

that the MOMENTS when you have REALLY LIVED

are the MOMENTS when you have DONE THINGS

    in the SPIRIT OF LOVE."

    ~ Henry Drummond

THERE ARE FOUR QUESTIONS OF VALUE IN LIFE.

WHAT IS SACRED?  OF WHAT IS THE SPIRIT MADE?

WHAT IS WORTH LIVING FOR, AND WHAT IS WORTH

DYING FOR?  THE ANSWER TO EACH IS THE SAME.

    ONLY LOVE.
