"If you took Thom Yorke’s most frenetic performance combined it with the seductively smooth riffs of Spoon, threw in TVOTR’s sweating intensity, and then topped it all off with a jazz band fresh from Jackson Square—you just might get Tereu Tereu."
--Patrol Magazine
"It's like Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass stumbled across a few of those infamous Mexican mushrooms and decided to start touring with Maroon 5, except cooler."
--DC Style
"...all over the place, all of it is really good and texturally interesting."
--Baby, You Got A Stew Goin'

Tereu Tereu makes noisy pop music. People say it sounds like this:
"Jagged chords salted with interludes of earnest, yearning melody... deceptively breezy trumpet figures with evocative vocals..."
--The Washington Post
"Catchy melodies, bouncing rhythm, and a hell of a live show."
--The Underrated Blog
"Tereu Tereu sprinted and flailed their way through a set that sounded like fourteen different bands and no other bands, all at the same time. I think that’s called originality."
--Patrol Magazine
"[Tereu Tereu]'s infectious midtempo indie-pop hooks, strong bass lines and impressive trumpet-playing are highly conducive to toe-tapping."
--DCist
Tereu Tereu has thoroughly enjoyed playing with bands like Ra Ra Riot, Georgie James, Birdmonster, Maritime, and The Good Life. If you would like Tereu Tereu to play with your band, at your venue, or in your living room, please let us know.
