Books
I read the classic "distopian cycle" of books last year, including 1984, Brave New World, A Clockwork Orange, and Fahrenheit 451, along with some more modern distopian novels, like Unwind, Feed, and Children of Men. They were all absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them all.
Other amazing books: Slaughterhouse-Five, The Virgin Suicides, All The King's Men, and The Perks of Being A Wallflower.
I also like a lot of the classics, like Great Expectations, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, and all the Shakespeare I've read as of yet.
I credit my good friend Alex Haley for getting me back into recreational reading after a too-long break following my entry into high school.

I sing a lot. I've been a chorus kid since elementary school, and I've been more actively involved than ever in high school. I like to think that I'm fairly good at it, though that's up to the listener.
I'm proud of my music taste, as it took me a while to acquire it, as can be inferred from my band list. It's nice to have something to be proud of, and this is my object of pride. If I show it off a bit too much sometimes, I sincerely apologize, I sometimes take my indie missionary duties too seriously...
Newgrounds.com is quite possibly the greatest mecca for flash movies and games on the internet. I highly recommend giving it a look when you have nothing better to do, as it's literally impossible to be bored on this site. I've frequented it since around 2000.
I know most of my flaws and accept them. I hope you will too.

Hey there. Well... it's different. At first, I didn't really dig it at all, it all seemed to run together. After a few listens though, it grew on me and now I listen to it way too much. I'd say that it's almost as good as Strawberry Jam, but not quite. I adore it.

i am surprised that they came to birmingham. usually only crappy bands come here, i guess they assume it's a big redneck shithole or something. our only music festival has been pretty crappy the past few years, i am glad so many good bands played this year. hopefully it will become the trend. modest mouse, wow, you're lucky!
i saw the flaming lips on sunday night! (i feel the need to tell every human being i encounter this bit of info) there was this awesome music festival that lasted all weekend. i saw a few good bands like the roots, andrew bird, the wailers, and of course, the flaming lips. it was probably the best night of my life. the rest of my summer will suck compared to that! :D
