Nominated for best Pop Artist/Group in the 2006 Minnesota Music Awards, Terramara is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Rob Meany, and formed in Minneapolis in 1998. The band has released three CDs, including a self-titled album in 2000, Four Blocks To Hennepin in 2005, and Dust & Fiction in 2008.
Out of hundreds of submissions, Terramara recently won the WB Minnesota's "Strictly Original" New Music Competition. After being selected for the finals by audience voting after its TV performance of "Running Down The Avenue", the group was voted the overall winner by a panel of industry judges during a second performance on the final episode of the program. Prizes included a recording contract, free promotional materials, and a year's worth of pizza.
Terramara won second place in the Billboard Songwriting Contest for their song "Goodbye" from the Four Blocks To Hennepin CD in 2005.
