Reading or pretty much anything that contributes to my overall knowledge base. I also enjoy spending time with my fiance, Gquanishia, as well as watching old sitcoms, particularly the Afrocentric ones (think Fresh Prince of Bel Air, The Cosby Show, and Moesha, for example).
Mostly contemporary hip hop and R&B, with a sprinkling of old school love songs, particularly the Isley Brothers and Marvin Gaye. I also occasionally indulge in rock and roll; I have songs by Lenny Kravitz, Iced Earth, The Fray, Nirvana, and Fear Factory in my Itunes library.

Also, I'm a big fan of Thomas Sowell, who has written, among other things, "Black Rednecks and White Liberals," "The Economics and Politics of Race," and "Marxism." I also thoroughly enjoyed Machiavelli's "The Prince." The only book I have ever read, however, which I would absolutely recommend as reading to anyone, for whatever reason, is the Bible.
Heroes
Jesus Christ and Martin Luther King. Both these men made the ultimate sacrifice fighting for what they believed in, and ultimately, mankind is a whole lot better off because of both of them. although I would consider him more a person I admire than a hero, Abraham Lincoln; not only did he end slavery, but were it not for his courage to stand up to the Southern States, there might not be a United States today.

About me: Hello, everyone. My name is Terrance and I was born August 27, 1980 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I moved to Gary, Indiana in the fall of 1987 and have lived here ever since. I graduated with honors from West Side High School in 1998 and from Indiana University Northwest with a bachelor's degree in Political Science in 2003. While not quite sure what I will be doing 5 years from now, (working either in the teaching or law fields), I'm just attending school and working for the moment (hopefully I'll have it all figured out by the time I'm finished).
Since getting shot back in January 2009 (hence my header, Thank God I'm alive), I've been trying to piece together some semblance of a normal life, which is difficult to do with a paralyzed arm, but I'm trying.
i>'Never Would Have Made It' was first an expression, then a song, and now a powerful book. It began with Nicole "Jahzara" Bradley's passion for collecting motivational stories from some of the world’s most influential believers. The stories are about individuals who faced setbacks, and yet had the courage and the strength to persist…to hang on when the storms blew through. Through Divine guidance, Nicole knew the writings - once gathered together - would be of tremendous help in motivating and inspiring others to persevere through tragedy to triumph. So early in 2009, she went to work on the life-transforming book. It's a compilation of inspirational, insightful, and unforgettable writings that speak to the heart, mind, and human spirit. And one that you should not be without. - Fran Briggs.. To some, Never Would Have Made It is a great song.
