Turtle Shell Productions is looking for one-act plays 15 – 40 minutes in length for a month-long production of plays themed around issues of the 21st century. Deadline is April 9th 2008. Turtle Shell Productions aspires to create theater with a focus on current issues, ethics, culture and history, while collaborating on productions that celebrate the universal truths of human experience and inspire the community.
1.) Please add a cover letter that gives Turtle Shell Productions permission to produce your plays if chosen and sign at the bottom.
2.) Please add a 60 word bio of Playwright
3.) Each Playwright may submit up to three (3) Plays.
4.) Please send only hard copies of your script. Scripts will not be accepted via email and scripts will not be returned. NO EMAIL SUBMISSIONS EXCEPTED
5.) There is no submission fee.
>Requirements: Plays must be 15 - 40 Minutes in length. No exceptions.
Submission deadline is Wednesday April 9th, 2008

Turtle Shell & The Terrapin Troupe, producer of the acclaimed productions of BLUES FOR MR. Our Troupe's mission is to create a vibrant and supportive environment for artistic collaboration and creative development with a goal of creating dynamic, driving and innovative theater experiences. This includes:
i. Workshops dedicated to the creation and development of new works by group members;
ii. Workshops geared toward the artistic development of individual members as well as the development of the group as a unique entity;
iii. Development of new works by emerging playwrights;
iv. Development of established plays;
v. Readings of works submitted by members for the purpose of artistic or future development;
vi. Exposure to industry guests.
