About me: Howdy. I'm in my 50's.. trying to stay as young as I can considering.. and enjoy diving into the Houston music scene here in Houston, TX.. Have been in Houston for quite some time.. heck, I turned legal in this town.. (saw Foghat at the Summit here in Hou. on my 21st b-day) lived and partied in Montrose area of Houston (also the Heights) during late 70's thru early 90's.. wish I could afford to buy there.. I'm a music major dropout from college.. and music is definitely a major hobby. Go see live music at least once, usually twice a weekend. And have a Houston music discussion group.. seeking other peeps to talk about the history of the Houston music scene..
And movies.. don't get me started!! Major movie freak as well.. like all kinds of movies.. the bizarre ones.. the scarry ones.. documentaries.. suspense thriller.. the occasional "chick flick".. animation.. Was a former "Board of Drive-in Movie Experts" for Joe Bob Briggs in the late 80's to early 90's.. it was a blast! Got to see a love of "interesting" films, as I was on his "Camp" committee. Reefer Madness.. would love to see it again. Eraserhead.. let's go! Any "exploitation", "sexploitation", 50's hotrod flick... love that stuff, as I was born in the mid 50's... am mucho int. in the films of the 50's. Comedies.. let's go. Pretty much all flicks, I'm into.
What about you?
and lastly.. my latest cause:
Who I'd like to meet: Music peeps! I meet musicians around town because of my group.. and love to talk music. Musicians and music lovers.. talk to me.
Movie freaks.. love talking about movies too. What movies are you into?
Also, love animals.. own 4 cats (but I swear I'm not one of those crazy cat lady people) (UPDATE Jan. 2007.. the husband and I recently adopted a homeless kitten, soooo don't know how much longer I can pretend not to be that crazy cat lady..).. no kids, so we tend to spoil the cats tho.. What pets do you have?
I kiss this elvis painting everytime we go to the Hard Rock! I was blessed with waking up from a coma on Sept 11 of all dates! I guess all those angels pushed me back! My ticker is very sick but I might be able to travel there but you will have to drive to see me in Pasadena. Maybe we could go see The Fondue Monks for a couple hours? Miss you! Mel.... hey i friggin woke up!!! Can't take a Texan easily.. no I got it I talked too much lol..... heh ehehehhe
Have a great day sista.... Sister Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Love the ones who don't just because you can. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly. God never said life would be easy. He just promised it would be worth it.
Today is sister's day, send this to all your sisters, mothers, daughters, girlfriends even me if I am like one. If you get back 7, you are loved
