ME and My New Friends Below: I made them this year.
影響
Lynch, Lukather, Miles, Bootsy, Pino, Marcus, Vai, Sanborn, Rush, Dream Theater. Lately I really like everything from Shane Theriot to Pagan's Mind and breaking out old school 80s guitar stuff and 70s funk stuff and 90s experimental.

Tex-Guitar-Funk-Math-Prog! It's like a mish-mash of all my leftover influences, carefully blended in a matrix only achievable by someone with mild OCD and left right brain independence, with a giant side of my freshest favorites. Kind of like British Pub Food without cabbage. Either, I had a near death childhood experience with cabbage that I'm repressing, or I just don't like it...
There are no vocals to speak of, because I've been told by those closest to me that my voice sucks. Sounds fine in the shower and my phone voice is quite sexy, I've been told by those I've never met. My focus is on the guitar, because that's what I play, obsessively, apparently... Playing it really works out my OCD so I can be tolerable around normal humans.
I post lots of "in progress" tracks here to get my friends involved in the creative process. They give me advice on "more cowbell" and "gotta have more cowbell". Sometimes the criticism is even useful...
So, play it, rate it, then critique it. I'm a big boy and can filter out the flame from the creative criticism. If you're a musician or guitarist, you're my audience. If I wanted to play crap that everyone likes, I'd do it for a living. I can't stand nursery rhymes, so I don't want to play Vegas, or tour the west coast with latest surf-sludge-emo-power-pop sensation.
Here's me 15 years ago!
I was born in Houston, Texas when bell bottoms were around and Hendrix was still kicking it. My first memory is of a moon landing. Through the 90s, I bounced around a lot, and played a lot of gigs and worked a lot of odd jobs. One day I realized that I really like music that most people don't like. So, at that point I faced the realization that I could be a starving soulful evangelist for non fashionable music, sell my soul and play stuff everyone loves to hear or find something easy to do for a living and play my music the way I want, when I want, where I want. So, now we're full circle and I'm testing out the fashion of my music from the perspective of my peers. Through years noodling and escapism I have honed a skill that has no market. Now, I climb from my shell, a$$ exposed for all to mock or say, "hey, nice a$$!" I'm naked, I'm born again, I'm here, I matter...
