Sounds Like
"Terrible Fate are the exact opposite of their name....a new and interesting spin on the usual metal sound, i dig it!" -Aaron Hickman
“You guyz are heavy! You rock so hard you might break man's skull with your sound!” - unknown @ ISP Atlanta
Terrible Fate was born out of Glenn and Matthew Allen’s love of metal, punk and hardcore music. Years of writing
songs and experimenting with their unique sound gave way to many incarnations of what would become Terrible Fate.
The brothers began with a down tuned, dark, crunchy guitar sound and death metal vocals. But, what began as a purely
metal sound changed shape with the addtion of George Faughnan on drums. George brings a punk and thrash style of
drumming that gives a momentum to the band’s sound as well as a punk attitude. When they were joined by Rob Corin on
bass guitar, his eclectic taste in music and guitar styling made the band’s sound even more distinguished and experimental.
With a unique sound that can only be described as Death Punk, the band blazed a trail of new and interesting music all
over Georgia.
Terrible Fate brutalized Nightmoves, The Warehouse, Swayze’s, The Masquerade, The Darkside, The Star Bar, Lenny's, The 10
High, Ziggy’s, The Venue, Dad's GarageTheater, Oglethorpe University and WARSfest. They were featured in March 2007 on Project Homegrown on Atlanta's Project 96.1 and as
Band of the Month for June 2007 on Braingell Unsigned. They invaded internet radio on Mohawkradio.com,
ATLmetal.com, Purevolume.com, Garageband.com and Hazmatradio.com. The band recorded fifteen songs in April 2007
for a new release titled Aneurythm.
Then in May of 2008 after playing in some of the most renowned clubs in Atlanta the band called it quits. The total lack of interest in something new and different from clubs and patrons alike took its toll on the band. After a long hiatus to regroup they lost their interest to fight an already stagnant music scene with their music. Much appreciation goes out to their friends, family and fans for thier support. It was fun.
Big news!! We are playing with Reeks of Failure, Expect Resistance, and Black Rose Drive on May 9th, 2009 in Atlanta at The Masquerade. It's located at 695 North Ave NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30308. Show starts at 7pm. Tickets are only $8.00.
I am currently offering bands a $200 per day deal to come in and record , if you are a young band and need a product this could be a great opportunity for you to record in a proffessional studio and leave with a product at the end of the day, all for $200!!!
Also for bands who just want to lay some new tracks down fairly quickly this would be ideal. Grab some time while the offer lasts!!
Andy.

What's up S.M.I. Friends and Family, We are excited to have been chosen to advance in the Project Independent National Metal Showcase. Now, we need your help to continue. Beginning December 1st, a online voting competition on www. projectindependent. net will determine which bands will advance for an opportunity to become the Featured Artist for 2009. The Featured Artist receives a 60 day national tour, $5,000, CD manufacturing, custom merchandise from Rocky Mountain Hardcore, free gear and tech support, and more! These are all things that S.M.I. needs greatly. So, help us advance everyday in December. Tell everyone you know about this. Let's show the world what three crazy southern boys from the Mountains of Northwest Georgia can accomplish with a little help. This IS a popularity contest, and we are going to be facing off against a lot of really good bands from larger cities. So, we are at a disadvantage. But, with your help we can win.
