“You guyz are heavy! You rock so hard you might break man's skull with your sound!” - unknown @ ISP Atlanta
Terrible Fate was born out of Glenn and Matthew Allen’s love of metal, punk and hardcore music. Years of writing
songs and experimenting with their unique sound gave way to many incarnations of what would become Terrible Fate.
The brothers began with a down tuned, dark, crunchy guitar sound and death metal vocals. But, what began as a purely
metal sound changed shape with the addtion of George Faughnan on drums. George brings a punk and thrash style of
drumming that gives a momentum to the band’s sound as well as a punk attitude. When they were joined by Rob Corin on
bass guitar, his eclectic taste in music and guitar styling made the band’s sound even more distinguished and experimental.
With a unique sound that can only be described as Death Punk, the band blazed a trail of new and interesting music all
over Georgia.
Terrible Fate brutalized Nightmoves, The Warehouse, Swayze’s, The Masquerade, The Darkside, The Star Bar, Lenny's, The 10
High, Ziggy’s, The Venue, Dad's GarageTheater, Oglethorpe University and WARSfest. They were featured in March 2007 on Project Homegrown on Atlanta's Project 96.1 and as
Band of the Month for June 2007 on Braingell Unsigned. They invaded internet radio on Mohawkradio.com,
ATLmetal.com, Purevolume.com, Garageband.com and Hazmatradio.com. The band recorded fifteen songs in April 2007
for a new release titled Aneurythm.
Then in May of 2008 after playing in some of the most renowned clubs in Atlanta the band called it quits. The total lack of interest in something new and different from clubs and patrons alike took its toll on the band. After a long hiatus to regroup they lost their interest to fight an already stagnant music scene with their music. Much appreciation goes out to their friends, family and fans for thier support. It was fun.
