Terri Jo Dodson is a Nebraska native, having lived in the sparsly populated western part of the state for the first 18 years of her life and now located in the state's capitol of Lincoln. T.J. release her first solo CD of origianl songs in 1996. Legend of Strawberry Moon began her trek of promoting her original music over the many years of singing cover tunes in various rock, country, and pop bands.
Her song, While I Drive, from that first CD was chosen to air on the NPR show, "Cartalk" and other songs were chosen for folk radio shows across the country.
Terri Jo released a second solo CD several years later called, "Stories Around Me". Following the relase of this second collection of original songs, tj was featured on the national radio shows, WoodSongs Radio Hour & River City Folk. Her song, "Six Little Angles" was chosen as part of a Holiday CD project for NPR radio hosted by Judy Collins.
Terri Jo is currently on the touring roster of the Nebraska Arts Council with her a capella trio, Baby Needs Shoes and as a singer with the Stefan Gaspar Jazz Factory. T.J. also sings and plays guitar with the rock & blues band, "Dubious Brothers & Sister Red".
2008 marked the release of "Turn the Page", Terri Jo's thrird solo collection of original songs. Terri Jo can also be heard on CDs recorded by Baby Needs Shoes and Jazz Factory. All cds are available at cdbaby.com
