Gothic, particularly guitar based bands. Faves include, in no particular order Qntal, Helium Vola, This Ascension, Faith and the Muse (with whom I toured as a backing vocalist), Diary of Dreams, Blooding Mask, And Also The Trees, Die Laughing, This Burning Effigy, Die Form, Cocteau Twins, Ultravox, Xmal, Requiem in White, Christian Death (Rozz), Superheroines, The Birthday Party, The Last Dance, Switchblade Symphony, L'ame Immortelle, Dead Can Dance, and many more. Female vocalists I admire: Yma Sumac, Lene Lovich. View my band Stone 588 on Youtube here with the songs

Oh yeah and the vocals on the Lidless Eye Flicker track on this profile is me too.
電影
My favorite genre of movie is comedy, like "Saving Grace," "Bridget Jones- The Edge of Reason," Woody Allen's "Sleeper" or "Love and Death" and "The Aristocrats" was particularly hilarious! But I also really enjoy eerie, suspenseful films like "The Skeleton Key," "Gothic," " M," "The Gift," "The Cell," (the last of which has some beautiful yet terrifying magickal realism, artfully done.) I really enjoyed "Constantine" as well, mainly for the visual design and the detached moodiness of the story. Fave actors include (in no particular order): Peter Lorre, Vincent D'Onfrio, James Spader.
電視
"Boston Legal," "House M.D.," "Law and Order Criminal Intent," "Medium," "C.S.I." I also like the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Conan O'Brien, Penn and Teller. I mostly prefer shows with good dialogue and acting, and then sometimes I just need pithy political commentary or straight up sophomoric humor a la "That 70s Show." Past favorite shows include "Ellery Queen," "Forever Night," "Penelope Pitstop"...."Dead Last," that show that ran 6 eps in 2001 about a rock band who had a talisman that allowed them to see dead people whom they helped move on to the next world? Great premise. Wish that had happened to my band!
書籍
Non -fiction: Richard Clark's "Against All Enemies" and John Edwards' "Four Trials" are awesome. Also Michael Moore's "Stupid White Men." Fiction: Anything by Edgar Allen Poe, HP Lovecraft, Jack Iams (40's crime fiction), also Christopher Penczak's "City Magick" or "Urban Primitives." Can't forget the magazine "Morbid Curiosity which I read cover to cover when it comes out. Other random fiction authors I admire: John P. Marquand, Dolores Hitchens. Really an eclectic mix...
偶像
Definitely Mae West (for her pluck in getting her plays produced and fighting the Hayes code.)and for saying "Given a choice between two things I'll pick the one I haven't tried before." Also Z. Budapest, Doreen Valiente, Dion Fortune: women pioneers of modern paganism. Gosh, my memory is so bad...I will add more here later about suffragettes, and other perhaps obscure figures who deserve attention.
I generate most of the images on my www.ipso-facto.com webpage and all images for Ipso Facto ads in publications such as OC Weekly, Gothic Beauty and Dark Realms magazines.
關於我: ..
Hmm, am I my job (Ipso Facto store owner), my music (I play in several bands), marital status (hitched 6 yrs ago), income (pretty paltry)? No, I won't go into detail about that. Sometimes I'm in my left brain...recycling paper, worrying about how to stretch my income, not wanting to be bothered talking to people. Then my right brain will intrude with a few notes strung together like shimmering beads (the songs really come from somewhere else I think and I just am the catalyst), or if I see some inventive art or touch some really soft velvet I am transported to my more sensual persona where I am really quite indulgent (and generally late) and I see mundane objects as potentially interesting to photograph. Daily I rediscover how downey the cat's fur is or how warm it is on the couch with Lorin, my husband, and then I see the dirt on the floor and feel guilty. My two sides are constantly sparring with each other, and it can be wearying. PLEASE CONTACT ME ON MY FACEBOOK PROFILE ...not going to have time be online much in the coming weeks due to health issues. thanks!

HERE IS A PREVIEW FOR THE UPCOMING STORY 'OUIJA' WHICH IS ONE OF MANY TWISTED RHYMES INSIDE THE NEW LUNACY MACHINE.
OUIJA
Is there someone there? Is there someone there? Come talk to us tonight. We’re asking for the dead to speak, It’s only us . . .my wife and me. Come tell us how you died.
The oracle moved about the board A figure-eight reply. The oracle started slowing down, then stopped . . . above the Y.
Tell us more, tell us more, what brought you here to me? Tell us how you died tonight. Tell us when you died tonight. Tell us what brings you here tonight. Keep spelling it for me.
The figure eight continues and around the board it moves. It’s slowing down, it’s slowing down. Come, spirit, talk to me right now, Tell us tonight, because we want to know . . Then the oracle stopped on the letter O.
You’re coming in so very clear, Now tell us why you’re roaming here, on this dark and stormy night. Speak to me, speak to me, Travel through this board to me. Tell us why you sleep tonight beneath your resting tomb. Speak to me, speak to me, speak to me now. Then the oracle stopped on the U.
Y-O-U, Y-O-U, this isn’t making sense. You spelled out, YOU is this what you meant to do? Then the oracle stopped on YES.
*COME BY AND VISIT ME AND PREVIEW SOME OTHER STORIES FROM THE LUNACY MACHINE, TWISTED TALES OF UNFORTUNATE TIMES 'R' in my blog section SEE YA!! -CRISS KARVER
