Terrin James Durfey
January 30, 1974 – October 28, 2008

Terrin Durfey was one in a million.

Terrin’s positivity was infectious. He was always unpretentious, always warm. The first to welcome a stranger with a smile, a hardy handshake and a belly laugh. He stayed positive about his condition for it’s entirety. He never let it get the better of him. Never backed down.

It’s horrible losing someone you love. Being forced to let go. But like Terrin, we're staying positive and remembering the good times, no matter how hard that might be. And we thank the heavens that Terrin was a part of our lives. And wouldn’t trade that for the world.

In an effort to alleviate some of the emotional and financial stress that the Durfey family will be facing, please join us in kicking off The Terrin Durfey Fundraiser.

Let's come together, not only as friends and fans, but as family, to support the Durfeys. Your contributions will help the Durfey’s through this tough time.

I will always remember the beginning days of Boilermaker at Pacfic Q and hanging out at Cassidys, drinking 40's in the alley behind Sub Palace...oh, though you may now be gone, those memories will never die. I wish I had the forethought to tell you that I always deeply admired and was somewhat envious of you and your talents and your casual, patient attitude despite all the bullshit that was orbiting our world at the time. You will be more than missed...you will be remembered. And that, I suppose, is more than anyone else could ask for. May you rest in peace knowing that you will always be loved, admired and never forgotten. All my love to you, to Adrian and to the little Durf.

The profoundly influential music Terrin shared and created has such a great impact on my life and music. The times I was able to sit down and have a conversation with Terrin (I don't remember who's apartment it was years ago with Tim, Brian Cook, Terrin and myself) were always awesome experiences. I don't want you to fly away.
