Back in October of 1976, a group of teens were out one night cruising the country roads of North Wilkesboro, NC and went missing. A few days later their car was found abandoned on a dirt trail at the end of Dowell Ridge Road. The police discovered their mutilated bodies one by one along the old trail. With no clue as to what caused this carnage, the police taped off the area and warned the town's people to stay away from the end of Dowell Ridge Road. Over the past 30 years, many people have gone missing in this same area and their bodies have never been found. Neighbors often report hearing and seeing strange things at the end of Dowell Ridge Rd. but investigations by local officials always turn up nothing. This area has been marked restricted by local officials and the town has been warned to stay away!
