"when I was 5 years old, I saw my uncle play in a band with his shiney red guitar. I knew then what I wanted." The young man who knew what he wanted at age 5 is Terry Helton. A man of many talents-photographer, musician, video producer, actor, songwriter, singer-who is anxious to "make it", to the top of the music buisness. The pinacle of that glittery, glitzy world that Helton likens to a rushing river: "You've got to swim hard just to keep your head above water; to make it you swim against the current; and you drown if you don't swim at all." Helton admits that for him, its been a slow process to gain recognition as well as the big bucks that come with fame. To accelerate this process, Helton decided to try the video route. His first video, "Famous last Words", featured a concert concept with Helton writing both lyrics and music. His latest video "Synthetic Luv" has more acting performances and is laced with symbolism and subtlties. " It is basically a satire on the singles scene and night life," Helton said. " I don't want to be stereo-typed. I like the shock factor, the element of suprise, the unexpected." " A video on television or the internet {You Tube} puts me in a different category from being just the average club playing band member." " In the music buisness today, you have to keep your music and show young, energetic, fresh, angry or else it gets boring. And nothing is worse to a Rocker then boring," Helton said. " I started playing in bands when I was 15 or so. I've dreamed alot but I've worked hard to get where I am." {Press Release} 1985...
