WOW! Tessellators YEEEAAAH!
CARRY ON READING! HOTT!
Tessellators are Dan, Beare, Alex & Moh.
They are based in London in the United Kingdom and are available to play anywhere in the world for a modest,
negotiable fee (usually between £0 & £Beer).
Tessellators still have some sort of plan. They are going to release 3 EPs before the end of 2009, one detailing adventure, another concerning the sea, and one about the city. We'll do an album as well for the hell of it, and the third EP will be a double (City / La Ciudad). I guess that's just how we roll.
Rather excitingly, 2 EPs have been completed thus far. The Red Admiral EP and the O! Mighty Sea EP (see below).
Tessellators release their music under a Creative Commons License
You are free to download, share, remix & sample [not for profit] the mp3s.
Tessellators enjoy handmaking every CD cover so everyone is unique. We still like CDs and Vinyl you see.
The name 'Tessellators' could be a reference to how the individual shapes that each member
creates fit together to make a larger, more complex pattern. Maybe this will be suggested in print at
some point in the future. Similarly, 'Tessellators' could be a reference to how the band members have to
efficiently organise their equipment into a confined storage space week after week.
It is unlikely that this will ever be suggested in print.
The naming process was long and involved a complex points system that was largely ineffective.
Dan plays the guitar & sings. Beare plays the bass, the guitar & sings.
Alex plays the drums. Moh plays the keyboard, the guitar & sings.
At some point in the future any member of the band might play something else,
like the tambourine or the trumpet. Multi-tasking is good.
Tessellators love lots of music including Built to Spill, Captain Beefheart, Battles (especially live),
The Band and Fugazi amongst many others.
[The four Tessellators were in the band 'the Hundred Handed' for several years.
Sadly for all concerned, their singer announced that he would leave (amicably)
in late-2006, which led to the creation of Tessellators after Dan, Beare,
Alex & Moh resolved to start a new venture together.]
Our Plan : We are going to have finished 3 EPs by the end of 2009.
One detailing adventure, another concerning the sea, and one about the city.
Current Status : 2 down, one to go.
All EPs are available for £3 (inc worldwide P&P) by clicking the Paypal buttons.

Our 2nd EP is done. Huzzah! It is titled the O! Mighty Sea EP.
Each handmade sleeve has a rotating compass* on it. Plus there's a lyrics booklet.
This cover put our arts & crafts skills to the test.
*Compass is cardboard and will probably not point to magnetic north.
We've been in and out of the studio since January, either recording with Mike at thecombinationof... or in our little rehearsal space in Tottenham with the ever-incredible Leth.
When we're not in the studio we're pretty busy hanging out.
