Simply put, this is a finely crafted pop record. .. We live our lives in lines, but there is always a soul to be found if you look hard enough. 8/10 The Music Magazine
‘Lines’ is a rom-pop dance album worth your sunburnt ear this season.
Lound and Quiet.com
Pop, future disco and electro vibes that cover all aspects of urban life... Lines is a great little pop album. Testcard are sure to become a name to watch out for. Believe! 9/10 EQ Magazine
Minimal bleeps and beats bring to mind electro pioneers The Normal and even the early-Nineties Saint Etienne, with breathless and yearning vocals. Burn down The Cavern, Eric's and The Bandwagon and erect winged synths on top of the Liver Building. Album of the Week. 5/8 Magazine
Synth-heavy pop songs, social commentaries on urban life over bleeps and squeaks... dubby swagger and melancholic vocals. 3BarFire.com
The sound of the future; intelligent lyrics, bright, post modern synths. Subbaculture.com
With download only music becoming the norm these days, it makes a pleasant change when some real thought has gone into the overall product. The new album by Testcard feels like a personal gift even before it's been played... Think analogue synths and 80's drumbeats... superbly demonstrated on Hide my buttons and the strangely endearing Two floors which is so delicate you're almost afraid to touch it. This is one gift you'll want to unwrap. 7/10. Scene Out.com

On a clear night you can see the lights stretching out for miles from here. It might only be the glow from streetlights, shopping centres and houses but it’s beautiful in its own way. A monotone orange Las Vegas, marking out the lines where all the significant wins, losses and indiscretions of my life have taken place. I was born here on the 6th of November 1975. There’s nothing to distinguish the spot. No blue plaque, no spontaneous graffiti from well wishers, just a nest of damp, flattened cardboard packaging in a car park where the maternity unit used to be. I pass it sometimes in the car. Just a car park. Identical to thousands of others which scar Britain’s A roads, industrial estates and retail parks. In another life this place was a symbol of Victorian civic benevolence, a monument to scientific advancement overlooking the expanding city. Today it’s a drop off point where minicabs unload see-through pensioners for pre-op appointments and patients in slippers and dressing gowns smoke sneaky cigarettes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not adverse to change and I like the sense of anonymity when I stand here. From here, those orange lines still suggest endless possibilities…
