The rockband Teufel was founded in year 2000, with Aljadys Pruna (bass player), Reidal Roncourt (guitar), Jose Manuel Govin (drums), Lázaro Pruna (rhythm machine) and Edel Ramos (vocalist). In the beginning the band played sort of death metal with industrial and melodic elements. Under this format the group performed several concerts and recorded its first demo “Apocaliptic Show” that got a favorable reception in the Cuban underground scene.
One year later the line-up of the group changed its format and style with the joining of two female voices (Elizabeth and Annia Martinez). The band tended then to melodic death metal with gothic influences. Soon afterward joined a second guitar (William Martínez) and the rhythm machine was replaced with a musical keyboard.
On November 2002 Teufel launched its second Demo “Diabolic and Tender” that appeard with a better production and a better musical making than the previous one. This Demo was very successful all over Cuba. 3 years later, in 2005 TEUFEL recorded its third DEMO called “Always and Forever” consisting of 7 themes, following the steps of the second DEMO, but with a much defined conception and more focused on the influence of classic orchestral music and at the same time darker, more melancholic and aggresive.
TEUFEL has performed in places like El Patio de María, Salón Rosado, Cabaret Nacional and taken part on festivals in Pinar del Río, Matanzas, Ciudad Metal, Holguín y Camagüey and been successful with the spectators. Teufel has also made performances on radio stations and twice on TV Show Cuerda Viva.
On February 2007 the band joined together again, this time with a new bass player, Oscar Pita (who had been member of the bands Darkening, Zeus and Porno para Ricardo) and a new keyboard player Mariela Pita. Teufel performed concerts at the UCI, Club Atelier, Salón Rosado and the Madrigera, this time with sequence drums, this changes with the add of Alcides Rodríguez.
In the month of April of the 2008, Williams Martíenz decides to leave the band to be devoted of full to his group GENS, Annia Martínez and Oscar Pita leave the country definitively, for what a new member unites to the band, Lázaro Rabelo (Alianza) in the bass. Currently TEUFEL is active, playing live in Ciudad de la Habana, they participated in Atenas 2008 (Matanzas), Rock en el Río (San Antonio de los Baños) and are preparing their new DEMO, which possibly will be launched in 2008.

En sus inicios el grupo tacaba una especie de death metal con elementos industriales y melódicos. Con este formato ofrecieron varios conciertos y grabaron su primer DEMO “Apocalyptic Show” que contó con una buena acogida en la escena underground cubana.
Un año mas tarde la alineación cambia su formato y su estilo con la incorporación de voces femeninas (Elizabeth y Annia Martínez). La banda se inclinó entonces a un Death metal melódico con influencias góticas. Poco después se incorpora una segunda guitarra (William Martínez), y se sustituye la máquina de ritmo por un teclado.
En Noviembre del 2002 da a conocer su segundo DEMO “Diabolic and Tender” el que cuenta con una mejor producción y un trabajo musical más elaborado que el de su predecesor. Este DEMO tuvo una gran aceptación en todo el país.
En el 2005 TEUFEL graba su 3er DEMO llamado “Always and Forever” que consta de 7 temas, sigue por el camino de su 2do DEMO pero con mucho mas concepto y más centrado en la influencia de música clásica orquestal y a la vez más oscuro, melancólico y agresivo. TEUFEL ha ofrecido conciertos en lugares como el Patio María, Salón Rosado, El Cabaret Nacional y ha participado en festivales como el de Pinar del Río, Matanzas, Ciudad Metal, Holguín y Camagüey ganándose la aceptación del público. También ha realizado presentaciones en emisoras de radio y en el programa de televisivo Cuerda Viva en dos ocasiones.
Su ultima presentación en vivo se realizó el 16 de Marzo del 2006 en el marco del Festival de Cuerda Viva con batería y teclados secuenciados.
En Febrero del 2007 la Banda se vuelve a unir esta vez con la incorporación de un nuevo bajista Oscar Pita (Darkening, Zeus, Porno para Ricardo) y una nueva tecladista Mariela Pita, ofrecen conciertos en la UCI, Club Atelier, Salon Rosado y Madriguera con bateria secuenciada, esto cambia al unirseles el baterista Alcides Rodríguez.
En el mes de abril del 2008, Williams Martínez decide irse de la banda para dedicarse de lleno a su grupo GENS, Annia Martínez y Oscar Pita se van del país definitivamente, por lo que se une un nuevo miembro a la banda, Lázaro Rabelo (Alianza) en el bajo. En estos momentos se encuentran tocando en vivo y han participado en el festival de Matanzas Atenas 2008, en Rock en el Río (San Antonio de los Baños) y presentándose en la Ciudad de la Habana, también en la grabación de un demo nuevo que se espera saldrá en el 2008.
