SECOND GENERAL PRACTICE
Hello, ladies (and gentlemen)! Rico Suave, here. I just wanted to notify you of our next practice today! Who wants to learn to be sexy? You do. Who? That's right, you. Rico Suave (and his TLD associates) can help.
This week, we're going to teach salsa (que caliente!) and, my personal favorite, bachata (que sensual!)!
What's also new this week is that we will split up the group between Beginners and Intermediates!
What: 2nd General Practice
When: Thursday, Sep. 18 @ 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Where: RSC 1.104 (Rec Center; first floor, around the corner, first door on the left); don't know where the RecCenter is? Click here for the UT map and here for the close-up map.
Who: Anyone!!! This practice and the next practice are FREE! So go ahead and bring your friends or that special señorita/señor you've had your eye on!
FYI: Please bring your UT ID to get past the front desk of the RecCenter and wear non-skidding shoes (i.e. tennis shoes, heels, dancing shoes).
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS PRACTICE
This practice, we will go over some of the technicalites of being a member including, but not limited to:
-A preview of the dances we'll be teaching: salsa, bachata, merengue, cumbia, and chacha!
-Membership Dues! Don't worry! This week's practice is FREE! Plus, find out how you can pay for dues without paying a dime!
-Fundraising opportunities!
-You want to perform a dance? Then tryout for a TLD Company this semester! Great way to improve your dancing, perform, and meet cool people (especially me)!

About me: Texas Latin Dance is a dance-based student organization here at the University of Texas at Austin with a strong mission statement that has catapulted it to the success it has today: Promoting an informal and friendly environment while teaching various genres of Latin Dance.
Texas Latin Dance isn't just a dance organization; we offer many other interests to appeal to our members. We have athletics in which we play soccer, volleyball, indoor soccer, and basketball. We have social events making it easier to congregate and make new companions. For the past years, we’ve participated in Shack-A-Thon, a community service event where we raised awareness of poor housing and homelessness by living in a shack for 3 days and 2 nights. Not only do we offer teaching classes, we have a performing section. TLD Company performs around Austin and for various organizations on campus. But, we’re not just an organization... we're family!
