"Cadillac Jack Band" has been together for almost 5 years it used to be The "Cactus Band" when Rick Hudson was the band leader for 3 years and later became Cadillac Jack Band when Rick moved to San Antonio. We had a contest at The Sting where we had a loyal fan that actually came up with the name of the band and has been ever since.
ROYCE GLENN “Royce The Drummer” Royce Glenn was born into a family of entertainers. His dad was a lead guitar player for several national and local bands. His uncle Artie Glenn played bass for Bob Wills, Lefty Frizzell and many other hit Artist. Artie wrote the legendary song “Crying in the Chapel” and other great songs recorded by legendary greats such as Ella Fitzgerald, Elvis Presley and many more.
Royce did not waste any time getting his feet wet in the music industry. He began playing when he was 15 yr old with his dads band “Mac Glenn & The Road Side Ramblers”. He soon progressed forward and went on the road when he was 16yrs old. He has performed with many hit artist including Waylon Jennings, Freddie Hart, Barbara Fairchild, Wynn Stewart, Joe Ely, The Maines Bros and others.
During his career he played with the headliner band at the Golden Nugget Casino in Las Vegas for two seasons. During that time he worked with 23 different recording Artist.
Royce believes his dedication to the music, the willingness change and the discipline to do the right thing is the reason for his long successful career. He believes the ticket holder is the boss and it’s his job to see they get their monies worth. In September 2006 Royce celebrated forty one consecutive years as an active musician.
ALFRED SALDANA started at young age growing up in Wellington Texas as a drummer then played saxophone in a band in high school then later in college with different groups playing Chicago's, Blood Sweat & Tears, Soul & Funk music. In 1982 he became a "Bass-player" played as well with many different band in Country Music starting from Wellington, Texas with his first experience with Curtis Sutherland and later recorded few songs with a band out of Memphis, Texas "Country Fever". Alfred move to Lubbock in 1989 where he started playing with "Crystal Creek" learning the style of the West Texas Country music tradition where he later landed with Blake Kitchens for several years. Alfred form a band after 1993 "New West" for several years and later started playing sit in gigs with other local musicians Such as Bill Martin, Larry Johnson, Wally Moyers, Steve Williams, and others well known names in Lubbock Texas. In the late 90's Alfred form which is now the "Cadillac Jack Band" with these great bunch of guys. Alfred compassion is not only his son's in which they are also musicians, but to those that love to listen to our band.
Hello I'm KELLY HASTEY. My Daddy began teaching me to play when I was only six years old. I started out on the mandolin and moved to guitar quickly after that. I have been a working musician since I was sixteen years old. I've traveled some and played with a handful of celebrities, but for the most part, I've stayed and played in my home state of Texas. Kelly preformed in Branson, MO two yrs. prior to Cadillac Jack Band played backup for many artist over the years with the Ozark Jubilee. Kelly played with Charlie Pride son, along with Janie Frickie, Mo Bandy and others that just stop in to sit in with the band. Kelly Hastey has been an inspiration in this band with his ability to write songs and given us the opportunity to share it with all of you.
TOMMY SCALES master of all sounds you cannot say enough about Tommy a very gifted musician that adds everything to a band. Tommy played on the road with very popular artists such as Syliva and others while on tour. Returning from tour Tommy settle down and played with several artists in West Texas such as Bill Martin who is now the lead guitarist for Charlie Pride and with The Larry Johnson Band for years. Tommy's talents are not limited he also masters as a Sound engineer for the band and owns a recording studio "TCS Productions". Tommy is very well known and is related to the "Buddy Holley" family by marriage and performs several events with his wife as a tribute for "Buddy Holley" . The Cadillac Jack Band are very flexible in any style of music when it comes to entertainment and continues this tradition till today. If you had to add up the experience of years in the band it would easily be over 100 years of experience that anchor this band.
