Texas Exile Radio is a country & americana webcast station. Produced by a native Texan from across the Atlantic, Texas Exile Radio twangs, shuffles, whines, and rocks 24 hours a day. We've got your Texas music, Red Dirt, Americana, Alt- & Indie Country. We've got Honky-Tonk, Bakersfield, Outlaw, a touch of Southern Rock -- even a few songs from those rare Nashville types who still recall what Country music's meant to sound like!
Heavy on the twang, whine, and rootsy sounds -- and leaning distinctly towards independent labels and artists -- we are not a commercial thing, and that is our strength. We don't owe our rotation to anyone or anything but the principle of quality music. We exist simply to share with a wider audience our passion for roots music -- and perhaps in some small way to bridge the ocean between here and Austin.
Tune in to hear the latest Texas artists, undiscovered talent, and your favourite classics. We're Country radio like it oughta sound -- but usually doesn't. Give us a go; it beats the hell outta stuffin' armadillos down yer pants!
