High School Bowling Clinic on July 11th at Plano Super Bowl.
41 campers attended, a few guests, and whole lot of parents. Columbia added a "ball demo days" and all loved the equipment. Without question the hit of the show was having Chris and Lynda Barnes there. They signed every autograph, answered every question, taught, bowled and encouraged. Topics covered: Lane conditions, transitions, adjustments, ball dynamics, mental game, balance, free swing, release and Lunch with Chris and Lynda.

North Pointe $100,000 High School Singles Championship Boasts
First-Ever Perfect Game
Amanda Halter, Georgetown, Texas Bowls Certified 300 Game
Amanda Halter, Georgetown, Texas, bowled the first-ever certified perfect game
during the qualifying rounds of the North Pointe Insurance Group $100,000 High School Singles Championship
being held at Indian Lanes in Wyandotte, Mich., Wednesday, July 25th.
Amanda will be attending national champion Vanderbilt this fall.
This feat had never been accomplished in the two years of the event and was
also Amanda's first-ever perfect game. Other highlights of Ms. Halter's
bowling career include:
- Bowling since age 9 at Interstate Lanes in Round Rock, TX.
- High series: 737
- Winning the Texas Pepsi tournament in March 2007
- Second place scratch girls finisher in the nation in Pepsi
- A three-time Junior Gold participant and placed 9th after the
qualifying rounds in Junior Gold this year and finished number 32 in the
nation.
