I also train new drivers that have just recently gained a Commercial Driver License. Many ppl think that to be a truck driver, all you have to do is get in, turn the key and go. However, that is not the case. I can teach any soccer mom how to drive a truck, but it takes a different kind of person to drive a 53' trailer weighing 80,000 lbs through places like Newark, NYC, or Chicago. That's what I teach ppl to do. In thirty days, I have to teach them how to maneuver safely, do paperwork, vehicle inspections, weight adjustments, chaining, and one thing that trainers forget about...etiquette!! I teach them how to properly back up a truck into tight spaces without hitting other objects (another thing that trainers seem to forget). In bad economies, even in the great depression, there was a need for truck drivers. Looking for work? I might can help. Message me if you are looking for a new career. Trainers, a word of advice, if you are training ONLY for the extra income, please stop training now!! Too many ppl chasing a dollar and not actually teaching is screwing up the industry. Trucking companies, if you are allowing ppl with less than 2 yrs experience to train, you too need to knock that shit off. How can a person train that has not even driven four seasons? I've been driving for about 9 yrs and I still don't know everything. When the time comes that I think I do, I'll hang up the keys!! On a more personal note, I like to question authority, buck the system, and pretty much live life the way I see fit. I tell it how it is and I don't put up with drama. I come real and expect ppl to come to me real. In some ways, I'm old school, in other ways, I'm new (especially with music). Want to know more, just ask. I'm generally an easy going person and I don't get offended by anything that I can think of. I don't judge ppl and I accept ppl for who they are, not what they are.
