"More unique than many other bands and actually sing about things that matter unlike some of the diatribe that fills the airwaves today"
“This band are one of the most important new bands out there today - up there with King Blues” Attila The Stockbroker - BBC Radio 2008 Time For Action the fresh faced by product of the Clash generation and attitude!
Tony Scott - GuilFest - "Wow this is one of the best young bands I have seen for a long time"
Paul Mex - record producer from Brighton - "I really like this band because there seems to be a lot of positive vibe about them. I think they are great and hitting every now and there doesn't seem to be any hidden agenda from them. I like the ..., talking about things that count, they are great.".
Attila the Stockbroker - "….this is the sound of a new generation of punk rock ska people doing their own thing… talking about the world as it is rather than looking back at the past….…in terms of their live show and what they stand for I think they are one of the most important new bands around, absolutely superb"
Pablo Cook (producer Lilly Allen etc plus former member Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros) - "At Guilfest. I saw Time for action, and they blew me away, stunned! gobsmacked, and left wanting more, a really talented young band to watch out for".
Nigel Clark from Dodgy - "Wow f***** brilliant" (at Guilfest)
Time for Action. No need to be alarmed or get up. This is the actual name of the band that proceeded. I must say that I had no great expectations of this band. I have never heard of them, they looked young enough to not be allowed in a pub and I’m no great lover of ska. But the truth must be said: Time for Action rocked my socks! The music was a fusion of several genres: ska, punk, reggae, hard rock…all topped up with a perfect dose of irreverence and rebellion. The kids, I mean, the musicians were well rehearsed and as tight as a rats arse! I loved every minute of it! Meg, the lead singer/guitar/harmonic has a huge onstage presence. His energy was immeasurable and his political speeches took me back to a time where people gave a damn about politics instead of this herd of sheep of today. I wish Time for Action all the very best and urge you to try catch one of their shows

Dave Chinnery - Battle & Beat Magazine (USA) Dec 2008 - Time for Action are a complete breath of fresh air, Joe Strummer would have been very proud of this young band. Playing with the spirit and anger of punks before them, mixing the ethics of 1977 along with the Ska sound of the likes of The Specials and Rancid. This five piece band had the usual tools of the trade Guitar, Bass and drums along with a saxophone. Lead singer "Mig" did his best to fire up the audience with his skillful Ukulele playing and commendable vocals. An enjoyable version of The Clash's "White Man in Hammersmith Palais" thankfully was not spoiled by the presence of the saxophone. If the future of music is in their hands I think we are gonna be ok.
Time For Action/TFA are a young, original, energetic and socially aware 4 piece from portsmouth. The band have a mixed style, with elements of punk, reggae, ska, dub, hip hop and more.

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse
(please see my blog):
WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north,
From a place in Sydney to Cairns;
Then to Kuranda I went forth,
By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market,
With fresh fruits of tropical kind;
Walked to the creek through lush thicket -
Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe;
Then, outside, as I wrote for yen,
Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey,
You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know -
Assured voices, elderly men.
That’s now several years ago,
And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.

TV Smith
Founder member and lead singer of the Adverts, who in 1977 shot to fame with punk rock hits 'Gary Gilmore's Eyes 'No Time To Be 21,' 'Bored Teenagers' and 'One Chord Wonders' that still remain thoroughly modern battle crys amid the seas of increasingly dated rent-an-anthem noises of the band's contemporaries.'
Since reinventing himself as an acoustic singer-songwriter in 1989, Smith has confirmed all his early promise, honing his already questioning vision into a genuinely pointed political weapon, but also reviving and revising
