    ..../a>.................. .......... ......Since 1999 Terrapin Flyer has featured a revolving cast of prominent members of Chicago's vibrant local music scene. Band members include current and former members of Cornmeal, The Dark Star Orchestra, Jack Straw and others. Often it pairs local musicians with such notable musicians as Vince Welnick (RIP), Melvin Seals and Tom Constanten for regional tours. The band has also performed with Sugar Blue, Fareed Haque and David Gans among many others. .... The nature of the band is improvisational and involves deep uncharted exploration in the medium of Grateful Dead and related music. No two Terrapin Flyer shows are ever the same and you never know who might show up to jam at a show, but you can always count on a great time with some of the most recognized artists in the music community! The premise around the music is to take songs by the Grateful Dead and related artists and to bring them to some place new. Catch the band in Chicago, this Wednesday November 24th (the night before Thanksgiving) at the newly renovated Mayne Stage Theatre on the north side of the city.     I hope you enjoy these Merl Saunders performences I'm releasing from my TV show, "Tim's Sundog Show". The master VHS tapes are deteriorating after 11 years, so I'm recording them to Youtube with the help from my director Billy Bongwater. The Mayor of the City of Madison Wisconsin was on the show to proclaim April 11...th 1999, "MERL SAUNDERS DAY" on the Tim's Sundog Show. I will be releasing more clips from David Gans, Justin Kreutzmann, Vince Welnick, and more!
