tfo is the brainchild of producer/composer Timothy O'Keefe. His debut album, Surface Sounds, offered many moments of solace and contemplation with its largely down-tempo soundscapes and catchy, lulling melodies. While recording Surface Sounds, O'Keefe called up the talents of guitarist Ryan Rooney and multi-instrumentalist, Matt Everett. O'Keefe invited the two musicians to join him for a performance at AS220. This began a two year long development of tfo's sound built from the many improvisational performances and long hours of studio sculpting. Since then Matt Everett has moved on to pursue personal music projects and grad school, while Ryan Rooney has continued to be involved in live performances and the recording sessions of tfo's upcoming album, Grand Strategy. Ryan currently resides in Austin, and is acting as a representative for tfo, and it's e-label, Cozy Music. Stay tuned this Fall for the new album, Grand Strategy, which combines elements of electronic, rock, pop, and a love of texture. Also stayed tuned for solo releases by both tfo artists.

The Providence Open Market is now accpeting applications for our 2007 season. Opening Day is May 12th, the Market runs every Saturday thereafter through October 27th! Spaces are 10x10, the fee is 50.00 per Saturday, students pay 25.00. If you know of someone...pass this along.
