London based Tim Green is one of those producers who doesn't turn in a lot of filler tracks. For the most part when "TG" or Tim Green puts something out there, it has a strong sense of character and literally rocks a dancefloor to its core. Over the past 3 years few names have managed to have the same kind of impact that Tim has had since he took those first steps from bedroom producer to internationally acclaimed artist. Tims production talents have been recognized, and gained plaudits from a huge and varied selection of some of the industries biggest players. The likes of Sven Vath, Pete Tong, Ritchie Hawtin, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Josh Wink, Deadmu5, Tiefschwarz, Steve Lawler, MANDY, Dubfire, Laurent Garnier, Slam, Claude Von Stroke, Nic Fanciulli, Lee Burridge and many more have consistently championed Tims music!
Tims ascendancy to the spotlight started in 2006 when he released singles under the name TG for such renowned labels such as Four:Twenty, Infant and even getting remixed by the likes of Martin Buttrich, Jamie Jones & Konrad Black. Fast forward to the end of 2007 and Tim decided to start recording under his own name as well as TG. The fruits of Tims production stints were amongst the most forward thinking and dancefloor friendly music out there. With huge releases in 08 coming for such renowned labels as Claude Von Strokes Dirtybird imprint, who released the track ‘Revox’ which went onto be an underground anthem around the world, Trapez Records who released ‘Mr. Dry which went to number 1 on the Beatport minimal chart and became one the biggest techno tracks of 08, and finally Renaissance Records who released ‘Creature’ & ‘Give It A Go’ in Oct of that year… The main stream was starting to sit up and take notice. Remixes followed for high profile labels and artists, with Tim remixing the likes of Tiefschwarz, Steve Lawler, The Audio Bullys, Radioclit and many more. Tim also received a huge plaudit from DJ magazine, who nominated him for ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ in the ‘Best of British Awards’. Although he didn’t win, the recognition was a clear sign that Tim was very much heading in the right direction, and quickly!
In June 09 Sven Vath’s massive Cocoon imprint picked up Tims collaboration with good friend Emerson Todd. The track was released as part of their ‘I’ compilation and has been getting played all summer by the worlds top djs. Hot on the heels of this, his huge 2nd single on Dirtybird entitled ‘Kitch-in, was released in August after receiving heavy club and radio support from across the board, and in the words of Tiefschwarz ‘Kitch-in is the biggest track in Ibiza this summer’ – quite an accolade.
So in just over 3 years, Tim has risen to working with the biggest djs and labels on the planet, and we haven’t even mentioned his djing yet! Tim has been found destroying dancefloors over recent times at some of the worlds best clubs such as Fabric, The End & T-Bar in London, Stealth in Nottingham, The Custard Factory Birmingham, Circus in Liverpool, Watergate, Tresor & The Weekend Club in Berlin, The Berlin Love Parade, Womb Tokyo, Compression LA, Airdrop New York, Tribe Festival in Brazil, Lost Baggage in Sydney, Mondo Madrid, Social Club Paris, Nuits Sonores festival in Lyon, Name Festival in Lille, The Hive in Zurich, The Loft Lausanne, Studio 80 in Amsterdam as well as a whole host of the best clubs in the world. This year alone has seen him do large tours of North America, South America & Australia. It wont be long til you see the name Tim Green @ a club near you….
